What with the Twins beating the Yankees I was looking for some "local" commentary. But I noticed you haven't posted since 8/11 - are you still there? Everything okay?
Anyone else heard anything?

You know I was just thinking about him. Cards, where are you?

Cards has been gone since mid August.
I've been wondering where he is too, he even missed the CL tipping competition, something he wouldn't miss if he had been online...

He won't be around much anymore...he's taking a little break. Hopefully, it's not permanent.

I'd thought he was getting pretty pissed at all of us and decided he didn't need our hassling.

What did "all of us" do to piss him off so royally? :(

I took him to task on an issue that, frankly, had been irking me for well over a year in this thread. (http://dynamic2.gamespy.com/~fof/forums/showthread.php?threadid=11904) I certainly didn't expect him to leave because of it, and as I explicitly stated in that thread, none of my comments on sports, sim games, life, war, etc., are intended to be personal to whomever I'm responding. But for some reason, he always took them that way. My guess is that this had at least something to do with his leaving, given the timing.
If he felt he needed to leave, so be it, but that wasn't my intent.

And from the looks of things now, Cards was right.

I know that he is very busy with his family. Also, he didn't mention anything in particular, if that makes you feel any better, Ksyrup.

That's the funny thing! Hell, I'm an attorney - if I'm bored enough, I'll argue the sky isn't blue.
I still think Stewart is getting way too much credit for the Twins' turnaround, though. Stark even picked him for AL MVP. That's just plain crazy.

I don't feel guilty about it, since I meant every word of it. But with as many anti-baseball folks as there are around here, I'd sure like him to come back, whether or not he has issues with me.
Whatever his reasons, I'm sure they are a lot more important than this place is.
