well it looks like training has wrapped up in the US so it's time for this week's edition of the training thread

so my starting keeper popped to OUTSTANDING tonight! if all goes well he should be brilliant (!!!) by the begining of next season! Sweeeeeeeeeeet

anyway... form was mostly a wash. no big gains or drops, most of my starters are in the passable-solid range so all is good

PS:

HAM says i could expect 2.5 million if i sold my keeper today! how about that? I can't even imagine what i'd do with all that money... and i'll be getting even more next season when he pops to brilliant!

Notes

Form wise, this was overall a bad update. Some key players went up while some went down. Our starters
are barely hanging on the passable average form. However, I won't be training general in preparation
of our match with Bonafide in week 12 despite the negative form indications as I feel we can still beat
them. Rousseeuw, who I though might pop appears to be 2 weeks from excellent when we bought him as he
did not pop this week. Everyone else went as scheduled. Next week we should see to strikers pop to
excellent scoring as Pederson has 6 weeks and Rousseeuw should pop as well.

I'm happy with it, but I wish form would take a more positive road to travel instead of the downswing
it appears to be on now.

Another shitty form week at +3/-4, that's 3 straight weeks with a negative sum. And NO I haven't trained stamina in about 25 weeks, so that can't be the reason either ;)

No pops, but I should get at least one next week, and 2 or 3 the following week, so that'll be nice.

nothing special here, just three pops to excellent playmaking, including that filthy 18 yr old youth pull from last week popping after 1 week. He's really filthy, what with solid defense and inad passing as well.

-4/+2 on form, and of course, one of the pluses is my coach up to passable! and he was injured last week too, heh.

First off, major thanks goes to FrogMan for his excel sheet. I downloaded it this morning, and it didn't work for me. Still, it was such a cool idea that I spent fifteen minutes to adapt the idea onto my current system of Hattrick Excel sheets. So, thanks for letting me steal your idea!

Anyway, onto the training.

Form: 7 up (one +2), 5 down, aggregate +3. Starters: 2 up, 3 down, aggregate of 0.

Playmaking: None

Value: 11 up for +$162,000, 8 down, for -$25,000. Aggregate +$137,000.

Notes: A decent week for training, as a couple of key players increase form, while a couple cool down from their solid/excellent form of the last few weeks. No bumps in Playmaking, and none were expected. There was one supposed increase in stamina, a trainee from poor to weak, but I attribute that to a transcription error than an actual stat increase. Big winner of the week was star midfielder Alexander G. Lafflod, who jumped from weak to passable form. In doing so, his value increased $83,000.

I used FM's file to get my info.
For some reason, value didn't work for me (FM, I'll probably e-mail or PM you privately on that). What I did find was:
Form +9/-1 (one of the +'s was coach, talk about useless)
2 PM pops: 1 guy I've been training to passable, 1 guy I think I usually play as wingback or wing who popped to solid. Wasn't expecting the latter at all.

According to my supporter stats my overall team value went up by a bit over 100k, though I don't have the numbers in front of me at the moment.

Not bad. :)
Nice Excel file. :) :) :p :) :) :D

A starting winger and my starting offensive defender both popped to excellent PM. Form held steady.

Had my best playmaker pop to excellent, another went to passable, other than that nothing to note.

+3 PM
+3/-5 form

Tough form week, but it works out with the PM increases.

My D-mid best player popped to passable PM. I didn't expect this since he was 31.

A 20 year old popped to solid PM. He may be listed (exc. stamina, pass. form, but wretched passing... also passable scoring). Might sell him, anyone know how much I may get?

A 17 year old made inad. PM. Just on the B-team because he is a good passer. May get up to exc. either late next year or early the next after that.

18 yo to excellent playmaking, one middie nears the $600K value mark while another passes the $400K mark.

Very, very good playmaking training!!! A first for the Pittbulls as 4 players popped in playmaking, 2 of them to excellent. WOOT!!! Form changes netted at zero, so I'm not complaining...

form (players): +6 / -6 for a net change of zero
form (levels): +6 / -6 for a net change of zero
-- Starters: +4 / -3
-- Backups: +2 / -3
** WOOT: Langston, the starting solid keeper, increased his form to passable, after spending about 3 weeks in inadequate form and two starting inner mids (Gortemaker & Riser) are now in excellent form while a third one (Rossten) improved his form back to solid, a one week stint at passable form.
** BLEH: God has lost another level of form, back down to weak and this is disheartening. Probably a high weak, since he only lost 7k in value and a full level of form is usually closer to 25k (he is valued 279k so form levels have big values). Hellsjö, starting passable defender w/inadequate experience) lost some more form, from passable to inadequate, but this won't be seen on the starting lineup as Bohin (passable defender w/passable experience) kept his passable form and will take his place. Lewblom, solid winger w/passable passing, already in poor form, dropped to wretched form. He's not getting any closer to being back to the starting lineup and with Peltola injured in our most recent frienldy, this means we will keep on playing Boom (solid winger w/passable defending) at winger instead of wingback for a while...

starter form:
2 excellent
2 solid
6 passable
1 weak
============
Average starter form: 6.4 or low passable (barely up from 6.3 a week ago)

value: +119k / -19k for +100k
** Another nice week in terms of value increase. The nicest and most welcome increase went to my starting keeper, Scott Langston. After seeing him losing a little value every week for quite some time, eventually dropping in form to inadequate, he gained a mere 2k last week and a nice 25k, back in passable form, this week. Another nice value increase happened to Diego Sanchez (excellent playmaker) who saw his value increase 23k, without a form change. Probably some form increase that left him within the same level, but from a low weak to a high weak in form...

playmaking: 4 pops this week!!!! My oldest inner mid, Stefan Rasmussen, 23, popped to excellent playmaking. I kept him around for a while now maybe only because I bought him as a passable playmaker with solid stamina in about my second week of playing HT. I may very well put him on the market and go looking for a cheap solid 17yo. Second pop, second pop to excellent playmaking, goes to Patrik Kvarning, whom I bought as a 17yo passable playmaker late last season. He'll stay on the program for now. Third pop went to my future all-around inner mid, Hubert Gortemaker, 18yo now solid playmaker w/inadequates in both passing and defending. In a matter of three weeks he went from getting his first 2.5 stars game to his first 3 stars game. Finally, the last pop goes to my pet project, Thomas Gröönborn, 19yo now passable playmaker, but w/solid passing & inadequate defending. I will keep on training him even though 19 may not be the best age to do so. He will never be a master at ball control but he will certainly bring some offense to the starting lineup one day. Weird thing is he is already valued at 199k, even though he's only a passable playmaker and only has inadequate stamina. I guess those secondaries of him may be a bit high, which is nice :)

My current trainees are:

player Age value playmaking stamina passing defending WKIM WKWG TOTAL TOGO
Rossten 20 113k solid formidable inadequate wretched 5 0 5 6
Rasmussen 23 103k excellent excellent poor poor 11 1 11.5 0
Riser 18 118k solid excellent poor inadequate 6 0 6 3
Kvarning 18 115k excellent passable poor weak 7 2 8 0
Sánchez 19 150k excellent inadequate weak weak 1 0 1 9
Gröönborn 19 199k passable inadequate solid inadequate 5 0 5 0
Gortemaker 18 128k solid solid inadequate inadequate 8 0 8 0

WKIM is the number of weeks played at inner mid since last playmaking pop (100% training)
WKWG is the number of weeks played at winger since last playmaking pop (50% training)
TOTAL is the total number of weeks of training received
TOGO is the approximative number of weeks of training the player still needs to pop in playmaking, based on the player's age, his TOTAL of weeks trained already and the fact I have a passable coach. (zero if player popped this week)

Of all the pops this week, Rasmussen is the one that really took me by surprise. A 17yo should pop in 7 weeks with a solid coach. Make that figure 8 weeks since I have a passable coach. Based on that, a 18yo takes 9 weeks, a 19yo is 10 weeks, ..., and Rasmussen at an advanced age of 23, should be expected to take 14 weeks to pop a level, maybe 13 or 13.5 if you take into account the fact half of his is training happened when he was 22, but still should be close to that. He popped after 11.5 week of training, nice! Also, both my 18 year olds (Kvarning & Gortemaker) both popped after 8 while they were expected to pop after 9 weeks, both one week ahead of time. This whole "popping ahead of expected time" thing leads me to believe that maybe my passable coach is a high passable and that I will keep him for as long as I won't be able to afford a solid/solid one :)

The four pops this week bring the stable of inner mid from 1 excellent, 4 solids, 1 passable, 1 inadequate to 3 excellents, 3 solids, 1 passable, niiiice!!! :)

I didnt have anyone bump this week, nor did I expect anyone too.

my two 19yo's should both become excellent in PM by the start of next season. Both need stamina training, and I think their ratings will both jump to 2.5-3 stars. If this happens I will probably sell my best old IM player. he puts up 3.5 stars but is also 31 next season. I wont make any money off my first trainees, but they will become help solidify my team for the next few years. I expect quite a few new players next season. As I can afford it, I plan to buy some younger stars.

My starters form was +1/-5 going into the biggest game of the year, one which may well decide who's going to win the series. Oops. :)

Form -2 . . . I won't be getting anymore pops for probably about 5 weeks. I just had all of my Forwards pop scoring over the last 3 weeks.

I only got a preliminary look at my team, but the Hippos have their first ever formidable! It's one of the middies I've had from the start: Stephen Connors.

Stephen Connors
316 000 US$, 25 years, solid form
Has wretched experience and passable leadership abilities
Stamina: excellent Keeper: disastrous
Playmaking: formidable Passing: weak
Winger: poor Defending: inadequate
Scoring: poor Set Pieces: passable

No pops. My 17 yo inad playmaker (value 95K) must have really good secondaries.

Form: +8/-9

Key moves:
Top defender to excellent.
Top forward down to solid.
Keeper up to high passable
Top midfielder down to inad.
