I'm sooooooo happy that we don't get to see the Chiefs-Broncos game in Detroit on CBS; rather, only because they are a divisional rival of the Lions, we get the pathetic Bears-Raiders game. No need to show a game between two of the top teams in the AFC who are undefeated, instead we get to see the worst team in football versus one of the crumbling teams in football. Detroit could care less about the Bears. Give us a good game!
End rant.

yeah, we're stuck with the patriots - titans game, which on another weekend would be a great matchup, but frankly, I want to see the best teams playing....

I agree, the Houston market is getting the Tennessee/New England game too, and I'd much rather be watching KC/Denver. I guess the Houston CBS thinks Houstonians still care about the Tennessee franchise.

I agree that the Houston market gettings the Pats game is kinda weird, but I don't know what RendeR was expecting with your location saying Massachusetts, with a home game in Foxborough...

I think it's Phil Simms and Gumbel, who did the Giants/Dolphins game today

Thought that Oakland/Bears game had a pretty exciting 4th quarter.
BTW, Panthers win!

FrogMan:
You might want to check further. Sunday Ticket is available here on the East Coast, both on cable and satellite.

We didn't even have a choice here in Chicago. At 1 pm they only showed the Bears-Raiders on CBS, nothing on Fox. I guess they didn't want to compete with the Bears game in the Chicago market, but come on, 3rd Rock from the Sun and MASH? Anyway, I thought that maybe that meant there would be two games at 4 pm, but it was just the Eagles-Redskins on Fox. Good games, but I was a little bummed that I had no choice.

I hadn't thought about this, but why the hell did they have them call Miami/New York instead of the obvious marquee game of the week in Kansas City/Denver?
Who called that game? Perhaps CBS doesn't have a true A team? Maybe it's more like 1A and 1B....
Or maybe Greg and Phil should be reading something into this...

Did Dick Enberg call the KC/Denver game? That's who I'd have guessed. I'd rather listen to him than Gumble and Simms any day.

I have to agree with FBPro:
Thank goodness for the NFL Sunday Ticket. After three and a half seasons with it, I could not imagine watching football on Sunday's without it.

One reason I can see for this is that possibly the Miami/NY game was being shown to a larger total audience than the KC/Denver game, so they wanted their top crew on it.

Plus Simms lives in the New York area and the game was at the Meadowlands.

I'd kill a man to have the football package. Especially if that man's name happened to be O.J. Simpson.
