Count on Quincy. In my pick'em with my family, I've really trusted that Quincy is turning Dallas around.

Tipped pass causes's Aaron Schobel (TE Matt for the Bengals' brother) to intercept a Kitna pass. Henry catches a short pass from Bledsoe and the first TD of the game is scored, and now lead 13-6.

Bengals have huge wind to their backs, which will help in the 4th. But they need a TD. And that isn't too unbelievable, seeing as former OSU backs Antoine Winfield and Nate Clements are having a hard time covering Chad Johnson and Peter Warrick. Will make for an exciting 4th!

Giants kicker is injured. He pulled his hamstring on a FG at the end of the half. It's 16-10 (Feagles missed a FG...he's the punter) Miami right now. The Giants have turned it over 3 times, but the Giants D has effectively taken Ricky Williams completly out of the game. I don't think he even has 10 rushing yards yet. He's carried it enough times, but he's been stuffed the entire time.

Ricky Williams has 20 carries for 36 yards. About 12 or so of them came on the last 3 plays.

The Giants offense can't get anything going. Hilliard fumbled it after a catch. But neither of Collins' INTs were really his fault. One was afreak play where th eball just sat on Toomer and the defender when they went to the ground and the other was tipped into the air by the receiver. Whenever they had something good going, shit happened to them.

Safety Coy Wire roughs the punter Nick Johnson, giving the Bengals a first down. Cinci takes advantage, marches down the field, and Rudi Johnson (him and Brandon Bennett carrying the load without Dillon) runs in about a 20 yard touchdown to tie this game up. Chad Johnson suffers what is likely a concussion after leaping up and getting knocked down and hitting his head. Rookie receiver Kelley Washington does a nice job replacing him catching his first two balls of the game on the drive after Johnson gets hurt.

13-13 baby.

Question about the hook and lateral play near the end of the Pats-Titans game.

Seemed to me (and admittedly, I'm not sure of the rule), that they touched the receiver down while he was in the process of pitching the ball. If the ball has not left his hands, he's considered down right?

Also, I seem to remember a rule you couldn't advance a fumble forward in certain situations, whether that's in the last two minutes or fourth down, or whatever, I don't know.

But the Pats have to learn, you play it out fully. :)

Dola: Found the rule: It's only in college, and on fourth down. On a fumble on fourth down, only the fumbler can advance the ball, any other offensive player recovers the fumble, it's immediately ruled dead at either the spot of the fumble, or where it's recovered (if behind the spot of the fumble)

And now to edit out my goof up above (typo demon got me)

Its the Titans, they fall under a special sub section of the NFL rules to where if they are down a the end of the game, they can throw the ball whatever direction they want to, as long as it comes from a TE.

Vikings were a little dissappointing this week, but about what can be expected when missing 3 offensive starters and having another playing injured. Managed to get the job done to get to 5 - 0 though. Only managed two picks this week, though were able to force another turnover on a fumble though.

Things should start getting better when Culpepper and Bennnet get back.

Man, I was lucky enough to be at the Cowboys game today. It was freakin great. The defense looked fantastic (poor Emmitt), Quincy looked good, and Hambrick had a decent game until Allen went out. The offense sort of shut down in the second half, but the way that Gowin was punting the ball and the defense was playing it didn't matter one bit.

My throat hurts so much now from yelling the past two days (went to the UTEP-SMU game yesterday). Guess I need to go to the store and pick up some lozenges... :)

Because the Vikings are awesome and no one listened to me when I said they'd have a good defense this year, and their offense is still missing a runningback that was an NFL record setter last year, and it makes the Vikings look more awesome if they burninated a team while having a subpar performance.

Actually, there were others who predicted the Vikings would surprise.

As for the Dante Hall punt return, two things:

1) Why in the &(#% are they kicking the ball to him in the first place?

2) How can the official miss not one, but TWO clear cut blocks in the back that occured within 5 feet of each other?

Mooch loses in SF. The Niners NEEDED that win so badly. Their offense is looking a little better, mostly because Deese brought some stability to the line. Garcia is still making some incomplete passes, but he looks much better then he has. And the defense still looks good, they seem to be for real this year, but they will be tested next week in Seattle.

Screw the 49ers. They didn't need that win. They've won Superbowls. The poor Lions needed that win. It's now 19 loses in a row on the road. :(

It makes me sad and unhappy.
