Anchorage Franchise Seeks Miami Aid in Travel Battle With CFL

(AP) Details are vague at this point, but word has been leaked that the newly formed Anchorage Snow Leopard franchise is lobbying the league for some kind of travel assistance, and will be seeking an alliance of sorts with the Tropics franchise in Miami, FL. Although specifics are unclear, rumors suggest that Anchorage is seeking some kind of warp drive, transporter, or other high-tech equipment to allow faster-than-light travel between their home in Alaska and places like Miami, which is approximately 1.3 light years away.

The league has not yet commented on this proposal.

Tropics respond to Snow Leopards request

(AP) After the Anchorage Snow Leopards, Alaska's CFL franchise, leaked out rumors of seeking an alliance of travel assistance from the league with the Miami Tropics, the Tropics have offered $15 million towards research and development cost of a faster-than-light transporter.

"I have several discussions with the Leopards and ownership, and I think he put out a great idea. I don't want to fly on a 6 to 8 hour flight, crash due to snowy weather and crash into some polar bears drinking some coke-a-cola."

Tropics seek partnership in training camp

(AP)-The Miami Tropics reportly are seeking a partnership with the Ancharoge Snow Leopards of a training camp partnership, which will see each team get ten days at each others practice facility, and then a scrimmage to be rotated every year.

"We both are in extreme opposite climates. This will allow us to adjust and practice in each others climates. Plus, the Anchorage ownership is great, and I love to have an annual "scrimmage" like college football has in the spring. I got a title sponsor offer from The Weather Channel." Tropics owner Mantle said.

Despite encountering some ruffled fur from the polar bear contingent of the season ticket fan-base, team sources with the Anchorage Snow Leopards have confirmed they are in negotiations with Miami for a training camp partnership.

"Well, we really do like the Tropics and appreciate the offer a great deal," stated Nicole Kidman, new spokeswoman for the Snow Leopards. "Frankly, our bears aren't too pleased with certain remarks made about Coke-drinkers, but we should be able to work that out. And there is still the unanswered question of travel methods, as well as the obvious Pacific lure of the Hawaii franchise. Perhaps a Four Corners set of scrimmages - utilizing the Weather Channel as a sponsor and the four seasons as a setting - could be made to work. We'll see."

Ms. Kidman also took the opportunity to deny recent media statements of a pending marriage to Lenny Kravitz. "My contract with the Snow Leopards is explicit about my status remaining single. I respect that."

You had to pay $150 million. Well, we didn't spend quite that much...

The Miami Tropics have issued an statement regarding certain comments of the Anchorage season-ticket base, the Polar Bears.

"We are sorry if our comments were out of line. We hope that the Polar Bears accept our apoligze. We however, recongize that coke-a-cola has become an addictive habit, as many cannot quit. We are pledgin $100,000 in support such as advisors and treatment personal, and another $100,000 in the cure, Pepsi."
