2-1 road loss to the 3rd place team. I finished 2nd in the league. THe worst star rating on my team was 2.5, so I guess that is something to be happy about, since I played a 3 star forward at midfield and 3 star defender at midfield (both had 2.5 stars). Hopefully I can keep training the youngsters, sell a few off, and sell out my new 42K stadium.

Also, with his 5 goal first-half outburst, Giel Rijnders finishes with 16 goals, one behind series leader Clement Johnson. Argh, a season of almosts...

The last week's results made for a dramatic finish to the series...first place had 33 points, two and three had 32 points, and four had 29.

A 3-0 win over the 4th place squad. It was interesting, though, because the squad changed owners literally a day before our match (maybe two). I was quite surprised by the change, since the previous owner hadn't violated any transfer market things that I'd noticed, but maybe he was a pest on the conferences or something.

Anyway, clinched first in my series but due to the week 12-ish loss, will have to play a qualification match to promote. Looking at my competition, I don't think I stand a snowman's chance in hell, but at least it will be a full squad training week for me. :)

On a side note, I was quite happy to see that the guy who threw his game to give me first and I have become pretty good friends. We also agree that the team I don't like has a prick of an owner and we're definitely going to beat up on him next season. I know it's random, but I think it's pretty neat how many people I've "met" or at least gotten to know a lot of great people. That is probably one of the best things about this game. [/mushy girl stuff]
