A question for the board here. I'm not sure exactly what I should do with this message I received from a user in Sweden:

Subject Justin Williams

Hi

I saw that you got a player named: Justin Williams in your squad.

Do you want to sell him ?
I can give you 100 000 $ for him.

--------------------

Now, I can tell that Chaffo is a big Philadelphia Flyer fan from his team's logo. And lo and behold, there is a Justin Williams on the Flyer's roster. His stats aren't that great (17 yo inad playmaking/passing IM) so I assume he wants him because of his name. Would selling for this reason be against the rules? Should I report this to a GM? Just ignore this email? I could definetly use the money, but I'd rather not break any rules. Any thoughts on how to handle this? Thanks!

Yea', they've said it's against the rules to overpay because of name. Both you and him would get in trouble, if reported, I suspect.

Although those stats could semi-justify that purchase...

If the stats are able to justify the purchase along with the name, I would pull the sell.

Those stats are just enough to justify that price. It would be over his actually market value, but not enough to attract a GM's attention.

Well, here are all his stats, for those who are interested

Justin Williams
33 000 US$, 17 years, passable form
Has disastrous experience and poor leadership abilities

Stamina: solid Keeper: disastrous
Playmaking: inadequate Passing: inadequate
Winger: wretched Defending: poor
Scoring: disastrous Set Pieces: weak

My initial plan was to see him as soon as he popped to passable playmaking, which I suspect will be very soon. I'm leaning toward keeping him till then, but I will notify this guy when it happens. That would justify a $100K price if the bidding got that high, and nobody gets in trouble. Thanks for your help everyone
