Looks like I'm promoting to D.III. I'm not really ready so should I just play back ups in league matches until I'm out of the cup or should I really try to win a few matches? I will be making a few changes in my squad that should strengthen some weak areas in the off/early next season, but I doubt it will be enough to really be competitive. Maybe I should just try to play for 5th or 6th?
Any thoughts?

Don't steal my idea! That's what I'm doing!

I'd say definitely play for 5th or 6th...who knows, maybe you get a weak D.III and they only put up like low 90 ratings ;)

LOW 90's!! that would be great! ;)
Maybe I'll get lucky and there will be some walk over teams...that will probably be my only chance for survival.

Dola
One benefit will be that I can play my starters in the FOFC Cup!!

LOL, leverb, we think on the same level. Perhaps this explains our disgust of The Afoci. :)

You're screwed.
Seriously though, this is the same situation I was faced with this season. My suggestion is identify the teams you think you might have a chance against and MOTS them, whether it's 1st week or whatever. You'll almost certainly have no chance of winning your division, so it doesn't matter if you lose most games 2-1 or 8-0. Just try to poach as many points as you can in the games you have a shot at and hope for a 6th place finish or so.
