So it looks like another two seasons in division 5 for me, unless some lucky youth pull gives me a metric assload of cash :D

I was wonder whats the longest time anyone here has bee in division 5? the end of this year will mark 2.6 seasons of hattrick for me, and might be about 5 before I promote.

Just completed 1.5 seasons, I should autopromote next year unless my top competitor gets an amazing youth pull.

I am in my 2.1 year in DV. Barring big injuries like this year, I have no competition in my division at all. Should be easy next season. I am hoping to get to round 5 or 6 of the cup as well, but don't know how realistic that is.

I think illinifan has been in V for a very long time, despite Tom Sanders and the metric assload of cash he brought to the team :D

I just finished my first season in Division V. I am very lucky and am in one of the weakest series in the Division, so I expect to have a legitimate shot of auto-promotion next year. That being said, if I were in one of the tough series in Division V I'd have very little chance of promoting anytime in the near future.

I think it's hard to say how long people "on average" last in Div V. With teams constantly changing owners and the US growing, and the amount of talent in the US growing, it's ending up harder and harder to promote (just my take on it all). I mean, look at the NSI of top Div V teams compared to say, 2 seasons ago.

That said, I started HT in season 18, somehow managed to win my series, came in 3rd in 19, clinched the series in 20 but am still not going to promote (I don't stand a chance for my qualification match).

look at the rankings at the "exp" column. This is the number of weeks the player has been playing. illinifan as "67" as exp and is still in V... I don't think he has ever promoted and demoted, but I'm not sure... I'm not making fun of illinifan in any way by pointing this out, he was complaining about his league being tough and everything in another thread...

Actually he started out in IV.49, DK's series.

1.5 seasons in V, but I stand a very good chance of making it 2.5. I'm going to keep training playmaking until I have either the only Divine midfield in V or promote out, so I'll be leaving eventually.

No my league isnt tough, my team just sucks and I have 2.3 million in the bank that I'm too cheap to spend. I have a couple good teams, and somehow I can't seem to win when I need to. But next season (How many times have I said that) I will promote. I signed up on like 7/8/02 and I'm proud to be in my D5 series. Just wish there was more activity.

Hey, you have the high bid on Dom 'Damn am I' Goode, which means he could be making a comeback to terrorize V.38. The fact that he played for Galesburg will make your opponents tremble in fear.

Everytime I think about the young fellows we have around here, I can't help but think that they are closer in age to my 6 year old son than they are to me... Then, I feel very old... :p

So just how much is a metric assload of cash? Is it 2.2 times an English assload of cash? Am I a total geek for thinking of things like this? :p

Wait, don't answer that.

just to quote dataking:

I'm curious how a "metric assload of cash" differs from your typical, run-of-the-mill "assload of cash."

Having a metric assload of cash allows you to act superior around those with the English assloads of cash.
