you only get original club the first time you sell a player born in your team.

I agree that, in theory, you should receive the last owner money, since you are the last owner (no previous owner) but it doesn't work that way and it is not a bug either.
You get 92% of the sale for a player "born in your team" as said Panther ;) The extra 2% is the original club money...

okay this player wasnt a player born in my team, but it was one that was on my team when I started playing. Therefore, should I recieve the Mother Club money?

'born in your team' refers to both youth pulls & players you got with your team when you first started.
since they had no team before your, they were essentially born in your team and you'll only get original club money.
if you get original club money, he was born in your team.
%5 will always come out.
%3 previous club will go to you only once, when the team you sell to sells that player again.
%2 original/mother club will always go to you for every player including youth pulls.
you'll get mother club as it's the same thing as original club.
%8 will be lost in space (given back to HT so to say) when you sell any player you either pulled from your youth squad of was with your team when you got him the first time you sell him.
so, yes, you'll get mother club but I think it's listed as 'original club' on the 'bids' page in hattrick.
