It'd be nice to see a better listing of special files somewhere. I found the real rosters and city editor so far.

There are two gameplan utilities available. Check the sticky thread for links.
I have something in the works. Not as in depth as TCY Helper, but it should be fun and, hopefully, useful.
From Original post over at The CFL (link (http://www.ronjuckett.com/CFA/viewtopic.php?t=24))
One thing that I know is not in the game that is pretty much necessary for MP leagues is html output. To me this is a needed thing, as the amount of time necessary to update websites by hand is overwhelming (even if it is just a matter of entering stats into a database and pulling the data off dynamically).
So I started thinking about the feasabilty of an OOTP style web site creation mechanism (example can be found here). While it will be some work, it is definately doable. But before I invest any time in it, I thought I woudl check to see if this is anything that anyone else would be interrested in using.
I'm currently envisioning a features list like the following:
Complete League Standings- Wins/Losses/Ties, PCT, Points For, Points Against, Games Behind, Record vs Division, Record vs Conference
Transactions - Cuts, Adds, Trades
Injury Reports
Financial Reports - Team Paryoll, Highest Paid Players, Attendance Numbers, Team By Team Bottom Linesm
Player Awards - Players of the week/Month. I'm thinking of doing fastasy style points for these, but the exact breakdown may be difficult to balance.
Top Performances of the season - Single game highs for passing, rushing, receiving, scoring, Tackles, Sacks, Interceptions.
League Leaders by conference/league
Career leaders by conference/league
Weeklygame recaps - box scores, maybe a auto generated ESPN style article - depends on how repetitive they seem.
Game matchups - determing grades for positions (OLine, DLine, QB, Receivers, RBs, LBs. DBS. K, P) and an indication on who should have the edge in each. (ie Tahoma is playing Tuscon (completely fictional) Tahoma's OLine grades out at an A+ (based on league averages) while Tuscon's is a B- so the edge there goes to Tahoma. Not sure if this should be straight comparisons like that or a position vs position thing (OLine vs DLine))
Player cards with optional photos and all information about them that I can gather from the save game files/the database that the utility will maintain.
Of course everything would be linked so that you can click on any team name or player name to go to that page.
Here's a peek at the first part of the utility (box score conversion). Still in progress, but nearing completion. (link (http://fidosutils.shorturl.com/fofreporter/results.html)). Its completely customizeable HTML, and is automatically generated from fbx (Saved Box Score) files.
Oh...and if anyone is interrested in helping out on this project, let me know. More developers = quicker release.

I think this is what some of us are taking about when we say a 'prettier' game. :)
Nice work.

lists the players.fdt structure for fof4. does anyone have the structure for the fof5 players.fdt file?
Actually Jim revealed much of the basic structure for a fof2k4 fdt file in the "Player File Generator". Open it and click on "CSV File format".
The header data in the fdt should contain starting year and cap value, as in FOF4.

Really great html export mod, i wonder myself if Jim could add this to his game as optional report along with his own, i really love the user mods, but it could be really great if Jim takes the best ones and include them on the next patch so he and us can benefit from this great work made by third parties.

Do us all a favor and post as a separate thread when the reporter utility is ready to download. Thanks!

Does anyone else use the Skydog flexing picture as their background in FOF? Yeah, me neither.

I use it, but I replaced his head with Larry "Bud" Mellman's.

Download? Who says it will be ready for download? Maybe I just want to use it for personal use and tease all of you with screenshots. :)
Actually, this is one of those things that is borderline non-freeware. The TCY Helper was a no brainer because it didn't do all that much - it HAD to be free. I'm still trying to decide if this is going to be a free utility, a cheap utility ($5 or so), or something like free for single player games but reasonably priced ($10) for leagues.
That's for the whole thing though, I'll probably post a "use at your own risk" Box Score converter today some time.

Fido:
Take a look at how the creators of the best modification (ever) for OOTP do it with regards to price, support, etc.:

You may even get some app ideas from their product.

Dola:
A tool which will be sorely needed is something to automate the process of exporting MP stage files and the commissioner's downloading and installing of (up to) 36 stage exports. OOTP does this automatically by allowing each owner to export to a FTP server and gives the commissioner the option to "import all" of those files from the ftp and install them in the correct folder.
I know that if I were a commissioner, collecting 36 emails, downloading the attachments, and moving them into the correct folder would get real old after a while. In fact, I do know this, because that's what we had to do in OOTP3 over at FOBL.

Fido, great work, love the boxscore page. It is nice, neat, and crisp. This is no doubt the most exciting and anticipated mod there will be, IMO! :D

BOSI is wonderful.
That would be an incredible addition for FOF MP.
