Playing or Simming.....which are you doing?

I can't make up my mind whether I want to start a career as GM or as the coach actually calling the plays.

Simming week by week is the way for me. I've only played with playcalling a little bit.

i sim the regular season, then watch the playoff games and jump in if I feel I need to. nothing like watching the coach call pass after pass play when you are leading in the 4th quarter

I qs'ed the preseason and called offense in the season. It starts to get pretty tough about midway through the season. I was 6-2 with Carolina, then won 1 game the rest of the way. Granted, I had to start Weinke the last half of the year when Peete got hurt, but still.

I also thought it was strange that on the first play of the game, I got the PbP that read "The team is familiar with this play." Ummm... Its the first time I ran a play, how are they familiar?

Could be a function of the defensive playcalling rating of the opposite head coach - the idea being that if the defense has prepared enough on film, then they're already familiar with what is coming.

I almost never call the plays (except on certain situations late in the half/game when I want to be sure that a certain play is being completed) but I watch all of my team's games (except Pre-Season where I quick-sim).

I was enjoying calling plays until my game crashed. I'm not taking the chance now and I've been simming everything. Still having fun though.
