How does this happen?
I let the computer sim the season with the scouts reorganizing the depth chart every week. I also loaded the runwideoftenthrowdeep offense that I downloaded here. I have no idea how my WLB got ANY carries at all, much less THIS many! Anyone have any similar experience?

Put the URL between {IMG} {/IMG} and replace the {} with [] to get the picture up. IN regards to Chad Brown running the ball, I have no idea....

weird thing was, the RB's got their share of carries - like 350 total - but Shaun Alexander only got 23 carries all year. Very weird. Plus, if there was an injury, wouldn't the computer just sign a guy and put the injured RB inactive instead of using a linebacker?

It might be explainable if the guy got carries in a game where your other backs got hurt. But 111 carries. Thats a lot

I'm at work so I don't remember what it is called, but on the screen where you setup your defensive back lineup is a area that ask you to put in a number for having players play out of position. I think 20 is the default and the lower you set the number the more likely the computer is to play players out of position.

Let's make sure that this gets into the bug thread... it could get missed out here, especially with such a generic title.

Is it a bug or a feature?

I do not see any rational way to call this a feature.

I didn't save the game logs but I saved the box scores. It happened that my Seahawks made it to the Super Bowl. He carried 15 times for 64 yards and a TD! That is crazy. (We lost the Super Bowl though)

Quick, your probably right, but does anyone know what "Positional Bias" does in the Depth Chart - Secondary screen?

He didn't do that bad (for a LB). :)

The higher your positional bias, the less likely the computer will play your players out of position.

And of course any rational implementation of a "low positional bias" might mean that your backup LG plays as your RT, or that one of your corners lines up and starts at free safety. Seeing a linebacker in the general rotation for getting rushing attempts or seeing interiot linemen getting multiple receptions is clearly some sort of bug. (I'm guessing it's related to the "positional bias" thing, but whatever it is, it's not working well)

Kinda like in my FOF4 game where Shaun Alexander was punting one year? Maybe Jim doesn't like Seattle?

Maybe Holmgren should look at Brown at RB... Sapp can play TE!

I have a feeling that the problem / bug is with the "runwideoftenthrowdeep offense". I have had the same problem with that download. Another thing I experience with that offense was that my WR in the depth chart was not used.

I would suspect the formation personel screen. Of course I haven't tinkered with the new version at all yet.

exactly.......when I said players out of position I didn't mean linebackers running the ball or punters getting 9 sacks and 160 tackles.

I've seen this in TCY where I had LB's finish with more than 10 catches in a year (no rushes though). I also recall once seeing a DE end up with 3-4 catches.

Has anyone taken a close look at that guy's gameplan file?
