Can someone explain how to capture and then post screenshots from FOF to FOFC ?
I genuinely don't know, and that way, Skydog gets one of his missing links for the FAQ... :D

I don't know either.
I thought about cutting, and pasting the whole screen, then cutting out the border, leaving nothing but the player profile ... but that seems like too much work.

1. With the desired image on the screen, press ALT+Print Scrn (this saves the active window - just clicking Print Scrn saves the whole screen). Open a graphics program like Paint Shop (they offer a free trial) or Paint and click CTRL+V. Your screenshot will be pasted into the graphics program.
2. Crop and resize and add borders as needed. Save as a GIF (best quality, imo).
3. You have to be able to upload and store the image on web space somewhere. 1and1.com is offering free web space right now.
4. Link to the image in your post with the following html code:
<img src="insert_full_http_address_of_your_image_here">

Ah, so I was right. You do have to save the whole screen, then work your way down.
I didn't know about the command though.

Actually, ALT+Print Scrn just saves the active window image, not the entire screen.

Really?
Much easier that way. I figured it was just a shortcutted version of saving the whole screen.
Thanks. :D

guys, you can also download this freeware graphic viewer called IrfanView, which let you take a screenshot (whole screen or only the current active window) and then edit it by cropping (or resizing) what you don't like and save it in whatever format you want (I use GIF too but you can save it as a lossless TIF if you want a cleaner, bigger file)... That's what I use...

I use IrfanViewer for all my graphic viewing/previewing/batch resizing/thumbnailing needs too... No I don't have anything to do with the guy who made it, I've only been using it for many years and I really like it ;)

So there is no way to directly post the image on the forum ? It has to go thru an upload to a website ?

Well, through trying several times, is a Geocities site not good enough? I've tried to PM myself the picture about 5 times, to no evail.
It has it's own page.
Is it the site, or am I stupid?

It works, I just believe you can't hotlink from geocities. So it won't load and appear here if you're trying to do that.

Use this html and at least you can get a window of your graphic to pop out:
<a href="http://www.geocities.com/pacersfan46/AnthonyMunoz.gif" target=_blank>Click here for image.</a>
Becomes this:
<a href="http://www.geocities.com/pacersfan46/AnthonyMunoz.gif" target=_blank>Click here for image.</a>

I am bumping this thread up to add that there are great screen shot capturing programs. I, myself, use Howie's Quick Screen capture from www.howiesfunware.com. With a click of a button you can have your whole screen or only the active window saved as JPEG, TIF, or BMP. This is a very simple and useful program that has found itself left on my hard drive for a long time.
