Best Buy has (had) this card for $69 today. Does anyone have it? ... and if so, how do you like it?
I have a GeForce MX 420 card, but I'm looking to upgrade in anticipation of HalfLife 2.
Thanks,
Todd

Good card and a steal at that price.
Make sure that your Motherboard can support either 4x AGP at 1.5 volts and/or 8x AGP at 0.8 volts.
Even if you can't take advantage of the 8x AGP it will be a major step up from the MX 420 card and once again, you can't beat that price.

Indeed. The MX line was GeForce's "budget" card. You will notice a HUGE difference.

Thanks to the both of you! :)
I see that card is 'sold out' at the moment, off to BB tomorrow to see about a rain check.
AGP bus protocols
4x/2x modes at 1.5 V

MizzouRah, not everything available in the store today was available online. Many of those deals were 'in store only', and there are no rainchecks available for Day-After-Thanksgiving sale items, unfortunately.

Yeah, that stinks. Some people on fatwallet ordered one online. One guy went to best buy, bought one and when he got home, it was the pro version. Talk about happy t-day.
I just hate it that they stock like 10 of these cards. Walmart had plenty of their advertised items.
No biggie..... I'm liking the XT version as well as finding the pro version for $102 shipped... or I might just wait for the next special.

XT is the best version of the 9600 series cards but if you can pickup the Pro at $102 shipped then that would be the way to go. I have a 128mb Pro in one machine and a straight up 9600 with 256mb in another. Very happy with both cards even at the price of $130 & $150 respectfully.

Also keep in mind that the rebate is a national offer made by ATI and not Best Buy. It is good for $25 off on all ATI 9600 128mb 8x AGP cards bought by 11-29. You may want to call ATI to confirm the elligible retail stores before following through on this. It may even include the XT cards as well.

Didn't know this, thanks. I'm not in big need of a card yet (HL2 is still awhile from release), just thought that was one heck of a deal.
I'll do some more investigating.
