Ok, maybe this is not news to most of you, but it was only a few minutes ago while watching Primetime that I realized Mike Vick is going to play tonight. The sunday night game just became infinitely more interesting to me.

I know that Vick is good and all, but if Theisman and the rest of his goons continue to suck his dick all night, I might get sick.

RICKY WILLIAMS !! WOW THAT WAS THE GREATEST 3 YARD RUN IN THE HISTORY OF THE NFL.... RICKY WILLIAMS !!!!
yeah, they make it difficult to watch any of the games... especially once they try to say something semi intelligent then start arguing with each other. It's almost the second half an they're still telling everyone Vick is playing.

I like Mike Patrick a lot. Not too fond of Theismann or Maguire, though.
Funny, I think they used to be much worse. All they ever used to talk about was how horrible the refs were. Meanwhile players would be leaving injured, making huge plays, etc...
Vick has been pretty exciting so far in the game from what I've seen. Good to have him back.

Worse than MacCarver and Buck in baseball.
MacCarver: "Today's game is between the Braves and the Marlins... so how about the New Yor Yankees. Can you believe I only gave them three blow jobs yesterday?"
Buck: "Well, I only had time to give Mike Piazza 5 last night before the Mets made me leave... ball hit... and then Art Howe and I...
Dammit, talk about the game at hand, not the fucking New York teams when they aren't even playing.

I can't stand them either which is why I'm watching the game with the sound muted, but man what a run that was! Vick has well over a hundred yards rushing tonight. I am such a fan of QB's who can scramble (just as long as they don't beat my Eagles)

Vick is back and just in time for my fantasy league's playoffs. :)
After suffering through weeks where I've started Holcomb, Couch, Blake, Chandler, Rattay, D. Johnson among others, its really nice to have him back in time for the postseason. :)

They just gave Vick credit for a sack by the Falcons D-line....

Theismann just gave Vick credit for the Atlanta defense again. This is hilarious.

Vick has been amazing to watch, but are we seeing his weakness now? In the 2-minute drill with the clock taking away his ability to scramble out of trouble he seems to be pretty weak against constant blitzing...
EDIT: when I say "weakness" i mean that relatively :)

It was a great play, not necessarily a bad pass.

I was all set to say that it looked like a facemask to me, but thanks to the power of TiVo, I think you're right. Well, at least it ultimately didn't hurt the Panthers, nor did it decide the game.

Next year I am going to track Theisman's contradictory statements all season long. He makes about 100 per game.
"Put Vick in the shotgun, put the ball in his hands."
"I don't like the call at all (referring to them passing)"

Ugh... What a bad throw at the end by Vick. Can't do that.

Daimyo: If Reeves wasn't a fucking moron he would have been able to scramble. They had 3 timeouts - the clock wasn't really a problem.

Since I hate the Saints, I want to see the Panthers win the division. I have Michael Vick on my fantasy team, but I'm down 19 points, so there's practically no hope of me catching up (plus my opponent has Isaac Bruce tomorrow night), so let's just have Carolina wrap up the NFC South now. This way, I can go to work tomorrow and gloat about the Broncos winning big, while the Saints would be practically out of the playoff picture.
Go Panthers!

How is Vick inability to get outside the pocket against one of (if not the) fastest D's in the NFL the coaches fault? He called a good throw, and Grant was beat, but Vick didn't get it there. Reeves did everything to call the right schemes to pick up blitzes, the team just didn't execute.

those quotes were before the play and after the play. Trust me, I listen to every word the guy says. 100 times a game he'll completely reverse what he JUST said.

Vick follows up a great performance at the SEC championship (helping the guy win $400,000 by throwing a football through a hole) with 320 yards of total offense tonight and the game-winning interception. What a man!

BAH! They are by far my favorite announcing team. They are very amusing and get into it with each other. They aren't afraid to call each other idiots and disagree on air with each other. It's a great dynamic. I love when they call games.
So bite me :p.

Yeah, and when he said put the ball in Vick's hands in the shotgun, I interpreted that to mean a run. A QB draw or sweep from the shotgun. Would have been a very nice call at the time. Then again, Feely was sucking horribly.

But he said "put the ball in Vick's hand and let him decide what to do with it." I interpreted that as a called pass, with the obvious option of running (which is always there for Vick).
Still, I'll start tracking Theisman's inconsistencies... there are SO many.

well, being 5 seconds out of sync doesn't do much for me, so I deal with the 3 stooges.
