View Full Version : New approach to my franchise...

I started a franchise with the Baltimore Ravens and decided to try something new. What I'm doing is giving all my players extensions during the season and going over the cap for the next season by 20M+. It doesnt give me any room to work with Free Agents obviously, but I've kept together the same group of guys for about 7 years now. It has worked out rather well, have won 3 of the last 4 Super Bowls. It's really going to kill me when these players age and I have nothing much to show for a team when they decide to retire. But cant really complain when they win titles.

My question about this is, is this something that would be unheard of in the NFL, or if a team had the same kind of success, would they do something similar? I dont know if I should feel like I'm cheating, or this is something that could happen if the right situation came along.

If you want to keep it going, just deal your good draft picks for future picks every season... That way when it all falls apart you'll have something like 10 first rounders waiting for your rebuild.

Just don't come around bragging about how easy the game is if you do stuff like that. :)
