Playing UCLA in TDCB, I lost a recruiting battle for a guy named Will Lay, who ended up being a dominant college player for rival USC (I was running Stanford). Of course, I thought that was more a case of best name, as it made me chuckle every time I saw him posting double-doubles.

I have a CB named Fred Sanford. And unfortunately, he's given me a couple of heart attacks at the end of games.

I'm not sure what scares me more.
The fact that you had a player named Josh Hiscock, or the fact that you remember my name.

Heh, I was trying to remember your first name, and how could I forget your last. I seem to remember many a reply to SackAttack posts that begin with "Josh," heh, so it wasn't too difficult. Though I was afraid I'd mess it up.

Wasn't there a player in the original FOF, that some said to stay away from?
I might be wrong, but I think it had to do with him being a bust every time he was selected in the draft. I could be wrong though.

I looked at the name for a bit, and asked, outloud, "What's the big deal about Mo Lester?" Then it hit me, and I felt sheepish.

I'm having trouble signing a draft pick who's holding out for a big contract. His name should have tipped me off: Moe Cash.

Still, to this day, my favorite name was O.J. Butcher.

Interesting, as I saw O.J. Simpson spurn my advances in TDCB (now with Wake Forest) to play against us at Georgia Tech. Simpson is clearly a player, as the Ga. Tech class was regarded as the best in the land.
