So far I've wrecked my car and had my wallet stolen (including my military ID).

This party sucks.

Yeah, the Cowboys are out of the playoffs and the UTEP basketball team has lost two of its last three games. Things need to get better...

Well, you could be like me Ardent...my ex-gf became that way by cheating on me...which wouldn't matter much yet we (I mainly) take care of her 3 y.o. daughter who I've helped take care of since before she was born (4 months pregnant)...since I'm not the birth father I have no legal right to her, which means my ex will/can take her at any moment...my ex's mother lives in Texas which is nowhere near Pennsylvania so my daughter may be shipped off there and while I will be thankful it will be a stable loving environment for her, it will still break my heart....

this had/has been going on a while, but it's reached its boiling point recently...

a further bonus, my company is cutting jobs...added stress.

I had $52 stolen out of my wallet during our basketball game. The bastards went into our locker room and robbed myself and a few of my teamates while we were playing... It kinda ruined a great night. (we won) In total they came away with 3 watches and $150. Bastards...

Yeah, I've combed the neighborhood, and figure I've got a lead, but it's just "kids". Looking for money and over looking the more valuable stuff. Problem is, they took what's most valuable to me and least valuable to them...my ID.

I had that happen a long time ago. It's a terrible feeling, maybe they'll catch the jerk trying to get on base or something?

Keep yer chin up...

Hmmm. My wife found out last week that she will be laid off on 3/25. One month and one week before her fifth anniversary with the company. As little as three months ago they were still hiring people into the groups that they decided to offshore to Philippines, India, and even Jamaica. This company only sells its services in the US and Canada, but within a year about 50% of the workforce will be offshore.

Happy 2004!

Sadly, if it was a kid, I doubt that was high on his priority list. The police did let the local stores know to check for any kids hoisting military ids....This, by the way, happened in Bonne Terre, not Great Lakes. There isn't a base close by.

I had money taken from my wallet in a locked locker during high school gym class (a long, long time ago). Locks aren't the answer.

Maybe morals are, or how about a conscience? It sucks!

i had my wallet stolen over the summer with all kinds of stuff in it besides cash. Drivers license, ATM card, college id, phone numbers, etc etc. I was pretty bummed until i got a letter in the mail with everything from my wallet sans cash (only about 40 bucks). World's nicest pickpocket.

I lost my wallet in LA last year on my bday and while i was flying back home, I got a call from the Burbank PD saying someone had turned it in and they mailed it to me. Talk about lucky in LA...that was about it. :)

I had a couple credit cards, my debit card, and my drivers license drop out of some really old crappy wallet I had in LA and I didn't realize it until I got home and somebody called and told me they had all my cards! Talk about luck and I never had the chance to sweat it. He wouldn't even accept a 20-spot that I had on me....some nice folks in California.

(EDIT: That paid for my listing in the phone book right there!)

I left my ATM card in a machine this past year. Nice lady turned it into the bank and the bank called me. Plenty of good decent people out there, just plenty of rotten people too.

I lost my wallet once and had given up hope when a lady called me about a week after I lost it. She then mailed me the wallet at her expense.

Well, wallet stories eh?

Had my wallet stolen at a truck stop in Dallas a year and a half ago. Kind of makes driving a little f'ing tough when you do not have your CDL, fuel cards, physical card, and all that other crap. Thankfully God invented the fax machine.....

I have a bad habit.

It's called losing my f'ing wallet. I annually lose one once a year.

Most recently, I lost it, cancelled my credit card, atm card, all that stuff. Ended up finding my wallet, got a new atm card in about a day, and I JUST got my new cc in the mail about 5 days ago, and I requested a new one about 3 months ago.
