You can blame the media about that, its not like Favre or Sherman or Green came out every week and said "Ya, we are gonna win, its destiny!"

With that said, it was an amazing run....3 straight weeks of just great, on the edge of my seat games. This team has done more this year then i thought they would at the half way point of the season, and i thank them (and the Vikings) for it.

Definetly a weird ending to a weird season. Hmmm, now who do i root for to win the SB? Indy maybe? I dunno yet..........

Exactly. I don't see anyone in here questioning a couple other very suspect passes he threw, because he receivers caught those. The one to Javon Walker was insane.

And I love how Chris Collingsworth ripped the Pack for playing a cover-2, and then for playing man-to-man.... all within about 2 minutes.

Ditto on the 4th-and-1 punt call. The Packers had rolled up over 200 rushing yards and might be able to seal the win with a first down. Why, after making 3 4th-and-1 "go-for-it" calls in the last two games, would Sherman chicken out?

The Eagles played well in some aspects of the game, no doubt about it, but the Packers' decisions more than likely sent that game into overtime. And then Favre...well, let's just say he had a great season and leave it at that.

(Aside: how does a team go up 14 in the 1st quarter, roll up over 200 rushing yards, not turn the ball over in regulation, and only manage to score 3 more points?)

Yeah that 4th and 1 call was a killer. I said at the time it was a pussy call and I stand by it. Even if they had blown it they probably would have come out the same. At the very least it wouuld have put the game into the hands of your best two players instead of putting it on a suspect defense.

That might be true, but if they would've got it that one play would've won them the game. Clearly it was that blown goal line situation that had him wondering.. The only way I agree with Collinsworth was when he basically said "If you're going to be aggressive, you have to continue being aggressive." We all know there was at least a 75% chance the Pack gets that first down. Then it's game over.

Also true. While the guy is a great player, he's cleary a bit more of a "natural" with horrible mechanics, then a bookworm type (like Peyton Manning). In any given game, you see him put at least 2 balls completely up for grabs. Most times it'll be incomplete. Then probably 20% of the time it's caught or intercepted. In this game, the interception would have been fine on its own... it was the lengthy runback that absolutely doomed the Pack.

The Packers and Rams should get together this offseason and figure out how those games got away from them. It'll be a tough off-season for their fans, and even worse for players and coaches.

All in all I do think the AFC is a significantly stronger conference this year. I think any of the final 4 AFC teams would have been no worse than #2 in the NFC, and likely would have won that conference outright.

I think it's all the coaching, but i think things are tilting towards the NFC now (particularly with the NFC east).

Second, that last pass is being over blown. That play was screwed looking from the very begining, the blitz looked like it was getting through untouched, Favre thought he could get out of it by throwing it up to Walker, bad throw and Walker had already cut his route short.....shit sucks, BUT i have always gone by the saying that a game "isn't won or lost on one play only." So i say fuck it.

Cuervo, ya maybe the Packers should have won the game, but they didn't. Thats actually the second time McNabb has taken away a game from the Pack that they "should" have one against them this year. But sometimes stats don't mean shit, and McNabb has much more respect from me now after this year. No need to feel sorry for me though, i loved the ride of a wild year, and have high hopes for next year if the Pack can upgrade that defense some more.

And lets all be honest, except for a stretch in the middle of the season, the Packer defense has been what most thought it would be, pretty bad. No one wins the Superbowl with a defense like that. Not that i have seen so far anyways.

I am over it, re-read my post. AND, I never considered it destiny, have never said such a thing. There is a difference between what the media says and what the team/fans saythink (granted there probably were some fans who started saying maybe it was destiny, but every team has those fans with lesser intelligence). And pesonally i think the "key to the city" thing is pretty funny, all in good humor.

And speaking of the media and the "destiny" crap, i like how they are now turning it around on the Packers and tearing them down a little with it, like Sean Salsbury on ESPN talking about how "maybe they started to believe it too much." Normal media crap, build someone up with something, then tear them back down with the same thing.

Kinda of. Yes, it was a bad call on the pushout, but you have to live with such calls. As Bill Simmons wrote, "And it was a bogus call to boot -- really, does anyone think Poole would have gotten that second foot in?" The Vikings were a team that didn't deserve to go to the playoffs, I do believe that, though I don't think the Packers were a deserving team either.

But one of the teams had to get in with the weak NFC. I'd probably take any of the AFC playoff teams to get to the Super Bowl were they to play in the NFC.
