I have found a trainee/starter for my team. I am another PM trainer and this is my first significant purchase in Hattrick. Please let me know if I did good or where I made my mistakes so I don't duplicate them.

A controversial person who is balanced and dishonest.

Very nice, in my opinion.

for 615k, I think it's an awesome buy, especially with that passable passing and already passable stamina. Quick question though, was he a new pull or has he been trained up to solid playmaking, thus making him a first week solid... That would be my only reserve about him. Otherwise, this is a very nice buy, someone that you can make into a starter someday and train for a loooong time...

dola, I just caught the solid form, meaning he has played some games, so probably a just popped solid playmaker... Nice buy nevertheless...

So it was a good - not a great buy?

What do I need to look for in the future. Can't have a form above passable? Otherwise they have been trained.

I looked to see what his stats were in recent matches and it said he had none, but I found where he was promoted last month. Bummer. He's still better than what I've got...

A few places to look at stuff about the player:
1) memorable moments to know when he was pulled, you did that, it was last month.
2) supporter stats for the player, see his best matches with his current team, seems he had none
3) transfer history see if he wasn't just transfered from his original team not long ago...

#3 may be the case here, solid form means he must have played with somebody. I don't think a player could spend a month without playing and get in solid form. Still, if you have plans for him long term, he's a nice buy. At that price though, you are not looking at popping him only one level and then selling him off. Even if he just popped solid, he should still be a formidable playmaker around week 12 next season, which is nice, or outstanding around week 6 of the following season (at only 19 so still trainable), by which time he should have received some stamina training and be a very nice offensive middie for your team...

Thanks, I do plan to keep him for a while anyway so it'll do. I'll take better care to check everything in the future.

As Frogger said, I still think it's a damn good buy. Even IF he was a "just-pop", he's still 17 and a solid. That means you have plenty of time to train. Nowadays, you just NEED that secondary to maximize your eventual sale (go look the discussion in the Formidable Transfers thread). I think you did a damn good job with finding a good trainee.

It looks like the team you bought him from had just purchased him and had him go up because he had played in a match for his previous owner, so he's a bare minimum solid. Having said that he's still a great trainee, especially with the stamina he has already. :)
