How is promotion figured out?

ie. if you auto-promote, how is it determined that you're place into v.4 instead of v.48?

Likewise demotions...

If you look at the promotion tables on Hatstats, you should be able to figure it out.

The teams are ranked according to points and goal differential; for autopromotion, higher-ranked teams replace higher-ranked teams, for qualification matches higher-ranked teams face lower-ranked teams.

good god, that almost makes my head hurt thinking about that. :)

so, if i had the highest GD+points in VI (which I don't) then I would replace the #7 team in V that has the highest number of points?

Is that a good thing or a bad thing?

In my opinion it's just a thing.

there's several other variables involved in deciding whether or not the series you promote into is a good one.
