well, seems to me that her vision skips through clothes and skin and goes right for the innards. Doesn't seem like a desireable power at all (at least for the "i will use my powers for evil" kind of people). This should be a prerequisite for those going into medicine. If she is more accurate than a CAT scan, imagine the savings. Canadians could stop coming here to be treated and then going back home to bash us :D

There's a pretty interesting book by Nicholson Baker called "The Fermata" that's all about a guy who can stop and start time. It's very well done - I'd recommend it.

I'm actualy looking forward to seeing "The Butterfly Affect". I didn't think a movie with Ashton K. would be the kind of thing I'd want to go and see. I was honestly surprised when I saw the previews that it looked like a good movie.

True indeed. I probably should've provided a disclaimer to my recommendation - the book is about what a semi-slacker with a healthy libido does with his intermittent time-stopping ability. It's not all about masturbatory fantasies, but a good chunk of it is. In that sense, it always struck me as perhaps the most "real" presentation of what a regular schmoe would do with such a superpower, which is why I recommended it.

Not for the kiddies though.
