wouldn't she walk into a lot of walls since she can see through them?

Sure, anytime you have claims of this magnitude you have to be completely skeptical. Still, would be interesting to have one of these types of claims turn out to be true, given all the charlatans like John Edwards and his evil minions of faker-TV.

hey, just because he is running for the Democrat nominee, it doesn't make him a faker :p

I bet she lives really close to Chernobyl.

I think the reason why she can't use her x-ray vision on herself is because she doesn't need to. Obviously she can already see herself naked whenever she wants :)

After Chernobyl, my penis, is falling off.
And penis is Russian for?
I can see her picking up men using her x-ray vision..."Baby, I've never seen a healthier prostate."

Perspective check. I read the article earlier and left the window open. I came back to the computer and didn't really remember what the last site I was searching was. This was the only part of the article on my screen.
"I can't turn them down," she says.
"I don't accept money either. I am often exhausted by the end of the day."
I must admit I was wondering just what had I been reading this morning anyway. :)

As super powers go, this one sucks pretty bad. It's not like being invisible or something.

I would take it, as long as I could adjust the power.

well, seems to me that her vision skips through clothes and skin and goes right for the innards. Doesn't seem like a desireable power at all (at least for the "i will use my powers for evil" kind of people). This should be a prerequisite for those going into medicine. If she is more accurate than a CAT scan, imagine the savings. Canadians could stop coming here to be treated and then going back home to bash us :D

Someone ought to tell her about James Randi's $1 million challenge.

Mutants... they're all around us.
If I had to choose a superpower it would definitely be the ability to read peoples' thoughts.

I once had X-Ray vision. Then me grandma slapped me upside the head for looking at her crotch funny. What can I say, I liked nipples. Holla.
I got nothing.

I'd pick the ability to Freeze time.

There's a pretty interesting book by Nicholson Baker called "The Fermata" that's all about a guy who can stop and start time. It's very well done - I'd recommend it.

I'm actualy looking forward to seeing "The Butterfly Affect". I didn't think a movie with Ashton K. would be the kind of thing I'd want to go and see. I was honestly surprised when I saw the previews that it looked like a good movie.

Here's where I call BS...
"There was once a lady who had been diagnosed with cancer. I looked at her and did not notice anything like it, just a small cyst."
Not only can she see X-Ray vision but she is now a specialist who can diagnose a cyst as opposed to cancer by the use of this power?

I'd go with flying. Which, if you remember, can be used to not only stop time, but make it go backwards.

I read that. To say that is what the book is about is really understatement. Be prepared for heavy doses of masturbatory and coprophiliac fantasies, as I recall. He's not without talent, but the book isn't exactly a harmless little sci-fi trifle about super hero powers.

There was a strange Dean Kootz book I read awhile ago that dealt with a character that could stop time. Can't remember the title of it.

True indeed. I probably should've provided a disclaimer to my recommendation - the book is about what a semi-slacker with a healthy libido does with his intermittent time-stopping ability. It's not all about masturbatory fantasies, but a good chunk of it is. In that sense, it always struck me as perhaps the most "real" presentation of what a regular schmoe would do with such a superpower, which is why I recommended it.
Not for the kiddies though.
