After years of mulling the idea (and flinching at other people’s horror stories), I finally recently dove into the realm of selling on Ebay. I know, I know…burn me at the stake.

Anyway, my main source of items to sell was a couple boxes of old stuff I’d kept around since I was a wee young cub. First on the list were several old model kits that I’d never put together, most with the box opened but the parts still in the bags. Well, my brothers, let me speak the word that you might know its truth and power: OLD MODEL KITS ARE GOLDEN. I sold a Petty Charger kit for around $80. I sold a diorama-type kit of the Trojan Horse with various Greek soldiers for $105. Two WWII German AFV kits: $65. Yeeeee-ha!

Just thought I’d share this bit of good news.

Maybe I have just been lucky but I have sold about 20 things without a hitch.

Not as much as we did for the aircraft carrier.

the carrot vagina really broke the bank though. I've had to sell a lot of baked goods to replenish the FOFC savings account.

You mean the Ex-Wife's Beanie Babies auction didn't have a happy ending??

Hey, I bought a PS2 off Ebay, just closed the deal last night as the guy DELIVERED THE PRODUCT PERSONALLY TO MY HOUSE.

That's pretty amazing. He lived nearby and was coming by my area so he went out of his way to bring it to me. Very impressed. For some reason most of my Ebay transactions end up being local.

Now if my house gets broken into in the next week I'll be pissed. ;)
