I have been trying to join Party Poker for most of the day. What a pain in the ass! I've been playing on Poker Stars for several months now without a hitch. I am using the same computer\router for both but I can't connect to PP. Are there any conflicts between the 2 sets of software? Has anybody who uses both had any similar problems?

P.S. Why do I have to go thru www.yahoo.com to connect to the PP server?

I think the enitre poker network may be down. I can't get to any poker site websites and the 800 numbers for PP and PS are giving busy signals.

I don't think there is one grand "poker network."

well UB is sorta up, the webpage is back up and most of the "program" is back up but the tables are not.
I don't see how they would all be connected, but you never know...

I'm currently playing at intercasino without issue.

where were you playing? I've been on party twice during mega-crashes, and they just split up the pot between all the remaining players in the tournaments (at least that holds for single-table tourneys).

Ultimate Bet, the game JUST restarted.
And of course the other guy isn't there. He was up 9000 to 1000 on me and now I will blind him out and win.

Party's connection and lag can sometimes be a pain, but it is more than offset by the fish to shark ratio. The fishing is great at Party. Enjoy it while it lasts.

Vic - Is the fishing good at the sit and go's too? If I didn't suck major ass at limit I might head over there...

hmm, I'm going to have to try that with limited bankroll of course. I did good on UB at the no limit points tables (not free chips, but the points you get for playing that you can turn in for prizes)

If you're even a decent NL player, I'm sure you can clean up. The tables are set a fixed MAX buy-ins (25, 50, and on and on). So if you buy in with 50, and take some money. You can be in a position to bully any other players who will have a max of 50 (for instance) when joining in.

that's how the UB tables are set up then. with my extra $10 I won tonight (on the sit and go that got screwed up) I might have to test that out. I just worry that it will be like friggin rebuys which I HATE, tho the pts NL tables have been good in that regard surprisingly.

Agree with Corey.
Any decent player should be able to make good earn at the low limit Party Games (limit, no-limit, and sit and go tourneys). When things are slow at the Bellagio and Mirage, I'll play four Party 3/6 tables simultaneously and make about $35 per hour.
