NOTICE
January 1, 1650
Are ye tired of waking up in the Carribean sun with not a thing to do? Did ye wake up drunk, not knowing where all yer money went? Do ye enjoy, wenching, plundering and pillaging? Have ye got a knack for swinging a cutlass or firing a cannon?
In these hard times, many a sailor cannae find a ship's deck to swab, let alone a bottle of rum to console with. The large nations of Europe, plunder the new world for its riches. Their naval might gives them a license to steal. Yet ye sit on an island looking at meager wages and strict rules.
The rules are changing, me maties . . .
Greed has the minds of these nations. Spain and England have declared war upon each other, while France sits idly by. In such times, all one would need is a ship of their own, to get their own license to steal.
I have that ship, however . . .
I don't have a crew. That is where you come in. Do ye seek glory? Do ye seek fame and notoriety? Most of all do ye seek money and the lifestyle that goes along with having alot of it . . .
I, the famous Captain Ravenbeard, am looking for 16 swabbies to join me on me private island and to man me vessel? If ye be up to the task, respond to this notice below. The ship sets sail on Monday!
Ahoy!
Captain Ravenbeard

I've been wanting to run this dynasty for awhile. Well, ever since I bought this game I've been wanting to.
I am the Pirate Overlord. You are my pirates. A couple of stipulations on this, since it isn't completely dynasty friendly.
I will take the first 16 who sign up as my pirates. However, if you don't make the list, do not fret. I will have a waiting list as pirates DO die. Also, I will be working to get more ships, etc . . .
I will try to explain more and more about the game as I go forward in the dynasty.
I will be posting monthly(game time) reports on the status of the the Pirate Island as well as some other intriguing aspects of the game and of my pirates, such as "A who's who guide to the wenching world."
All pirates have statistics. These statistics do not raise unless you go through training. However, you receive experience in Notoriety and Rank. The higher your rank, the bigger of a pirate mansion you can build, the better wenches you can afford.
I cannot change the names of the characters in the game, but I will be translating through a spreadsheet of some sort.
Captain's rarely die in this game. In fact, they will only die of there is a mutiny aboard their ship. Therefore, if somebody gets a captian position, it would be hard to remove them. Instead I have decided that role-playing will be a staple for success in this dynasty. Pirates who role-play well will get promoted to Captain when I hire a new one, or have to replace an old one. If you are currently a Captain and your ship goes down, I may remove you from your post, even if your character does not die. However, if you roleplay your capture and return well, I most likely won't remove your station.
The joys of being a Captain: You get to name your boat. You get a larger take of the plunder. You gain notoriety and rank faster. You decide who gets to sail on your ship.
The purpose of this game is to not only succeed as a pirate, but to also be a part of the story. There is information that Captain Ravenbeard may be withholding, but might let slip out. There is more to this scenario than a simple war between England and Spain. Also, as Captain Ravenbeard, I have my own agendas for making money, that you may want to try and figure out.
Finally, there are pirate factions. Who's in your faction, and who's not in your faction. When you become a pirate, you join a faction and cannot change it. You will know who is in your faction, but you will not know who is in any other factions. It is the goal for each faction to stash more gold per capita than the other factions. In essence, to control more resources.
I hope to make this a fun dynasty that has a coherent, yet complex storyline where all participants have a part to play. Granted, I understand the nature of the dynasty beast and realize that not everybody can participate as much as others. Remember, though, that I am the Pirate Overlord and can reward a Pirate's roleplaying with GOOOOOOOOOOOLLLLLLLLLLDDDDDDDDDD!

Strangely enough, I have heard about that movie, and it is one of me favorite jokes. It's a bad joke, but one of me favorites.
I think that I found me first Captain. ;) Arrr!
Edit:
I'll try and post more detail on how I'm going to have the factions work. I'm busy building up my databases and spreadsheets to make this one as fun as possible. Hopefully I'll have a lot more detail for everybody on Sunday Night.

Raven,
A thought occurred to me. I haven't played Tropico 2, but I know in Tropico 1 you can click on a person's name in their info box in order to change it. Don't know if you've tried that, but I thought I would mention it.

Let me first forewarn you that everything that I write below does not exist in the game. Tropico 2 does have factions set up, however, they are different factions and pirates will switch factions without me knowing it. Instead, I have created the following factions to serve as our factions for the game.
The Factions:
The Sea Wolves - The Wolves are a particularly nasty breed of Pirate. They are fighters and sailors. The wolves are very primal beings at heart and when they come ashore, they have two agendas: food and sex. Wham bam thank you m'am, time to get back out on the open sea. When the Wolves hold sway, money will be spent on food production, brothels, and training facilities. If you're a Wolf, you have one purpose: to fight. The only other things that matter to you are the bare essentials.
The Barrel Rollers - The Rollers get their nicknames from their uncanny attention to the sound of barrells being rolled off of and onto ships. These pirates are never out of sight of their beer, wine and women. Their love of gluttony is only surpassed by their love of anarchy. When the Rollers hold sway on the island, the focus is on building more brothels and taverns. Prices at these facilities will drop, making their money last longer. The Rollers will cruise when need be, but prefer for all their money to be spent before they do so.
The Cabin Boys - The CB's were created by a bunch of young pirates that were sick of being shat upon . . . both figuratively and literally. They banded together and became quite kiniving creatures. They both love the sea and the entertainment on land. However, this reckless bunch favors gambling the most. You never find these lads too far away from a poker game or a roulette wheel. If they aren't at the casinos, they are probably sleeping off a 37 hour poker session. When the CB's hold sway on the island, the price of gambling will drop. If they hold a large enough sway, the Pirate Overlord may even decide to fix gambling in their favor.
The Upper Crust - Also known as the Crusties, these pirates are all about the Benjamin's. They need big houses and lots of island defense to protect what they have hoarded away. They don't mind the occasional wench, but would rather knock on the door of an expensive courtesan. They don't always have the money that they pretend to have, but they will always let you know that they have lots of it. When the Crusties are in control, the conditions of island facilities will rise, as well as their prices. More spending will go into defense and the so-called luxuries of life.
----------
Power Struggles amongst factions:
Once a year (with the exception of the first year), a yearly budget will be determined by your Pirate Overlord (that's me). Based on each factions sway, I will determine how spending will be allocated for the year. Sway is determined by whichever faction holds the most total purse money at the end of the year. How I spend the Island's money directly helps your factions out if you hold sway. The idea is to garner as many faction points as you can muster before the end of the game (there is a determinant for the end of the game, but only I know what it is). This is how you get faction points:
Each year sway was held: 20 points
Sway held at game's end: 100 points
End of the year bonuses: 20x primary happiness level rounded up, 10x secondary happiness rounded up (more on this later).
Per each live Captain (per year) in your faction: 3 points
Per each live Pirate (per year) in your faction: 1 point
Catch a mole infiltrator to your faction: amount of mole's points
Have an innocent assasinated: -20 points.
Failed Assasination attempt: -10 points.
--------------------
Happiness and Factions
Each faction has a type of happiness that they are trying to achieve. That happiness is their primary happiness. Also, they have things that make them content. This is their secondary happiness. These scores are tallied in the game by percentages. 100% being completely happy, 0% being completely unhappy. At the end of the year, the happiness level in each of these categories is tallied for ALL pirates. Based on ALL pirates happiness with your faction's primary and secondary happiness levels, you receive bonus faction points.
The Sea Wolves - Feasting (Primary), Wenching (Secondary)
The Barrel Rollers - Drinking (Primary), Anarchy (Secondary)
The Cabin Boys - Gambling (Primary), Resting (Secondary)
The Upper Crust - Stashing (Primary), Defense (Secondary)
With this said, it is not imperative that you join a faction. If you choose not to join, your money and faction points won't be added to anybody at the end of the year. If you would like to declare a faction now, please do so. If not, don't worry. You can declare whenever you'd like. NOTE: I DO REALIZE THAT I AM CHANGING WHAT I SAID EARLIER. Everybody will know your faction.
Also, from time to time you may get a mole in your faction. Who knows when and who knows what faction. Only I do and the mole does. A mole's purse money will count toward their false faction until they proclaim themselves a mole and rejoin their true faction. A mole will gain discretionary points awarded by me. If the mole rejoins their true faction, the number of discretionary points that they earned will be taken away from their false faction and given to their true faction. At any point a faction leader can spend faction points to have a person assasinated. 10 points per attempt. It costs an additional 10 if you end up assasinating an innocent pirate. However, if the person was the mole, you get your 10 points back plus you get 1 point per point the mole has earned. At the same time, the mole's true faction will lose those points.
An important thing to know about factions and Captians: If you are a captain and put all of your faction mates on your ship, you are putting all of your eggs in one basket. If the ship goes down, your faction is gone. And ships DO sink on occasion.
Please feel free to ask any questions, if you don't comprehend, or if I've left a loophole open.

For $20, it was the best value that I ever got on a game. My GF, plays this game all the time, also.
As far as game play, it is a little frustrating if you start off playing the campaign without knowing what you're doing. However, when you get a hang of it, it flows pretty smoothly. Just like any other Civilization Builder game, it gets hard to keep track of everything when you get too much going on at once. This game is most definitly worth the $20 I paid for it.

Yarrrr!!! It begins!
After makin' lofty promises to ye all, I have gone back on my word. When ye reach our pirate paradise on 'St. Nowhere' island in the Lesser Antilles (Southern Carribean for ye map lubbers), not everything is as I have promised. One thing can be said for sure. There sure are alot of dense captives on me isle. However, there be no beer, no wenches, and not even a pirate ship to be found! What lies I tell!
After a brief period of disgruntlement, most of ye scurvy dogs realize that there is some work to be done. The captives are utter fools and, in me absence, have built a sawmill on the most fertile of farming grounds! DIRTY BILGE RATS! Without much further to go on, I take an inventory on St. Nowhere.
What we's a got:
1 Pirate Palace - currently no bigger than a hovel.
1 Stockade - for storin the captives that we don't have jobs for
2 Bunkhouses - A place for the lazy captives to sleep
1 Corn Farm - They grow the food that we be needin
1 Sawmill - Processes timber into usable lumber
1 Chuck Tent - A place for the filthy captives to eat their gruel.
1500 Gold - to spend on building maintenance and construction
20 Lumber - to build buildings.
28 Captives - Well SOMEBODY has to work around here!
What we's a be needin:
2 Timber Camps - We need lumber to build things on this isle
1 Construction Tent - To use for Carpenters/Laborers
1 Corn Farm - 1 Farm just isn't enough if we want to start brewin our own beer!
1 Sea Rations Factory - Turns corn into precious Sea Rations
1 Dock - Does anybody remember where we parked our ship? What ship, ye ask?
January 1650
I swiftly put up me construction tent and timber camps. We need to focus on getting things set up for our base of operations. Between the two timber camps, we employ 6 captive lumberjacks. At the construction tent, we allocate 5 captives to become carpenters. Our dense captives immediately disobey me orders to build our docks first, so I dispense JeffNights to immediately whip them into shape. When JeffNights gets to the tent, he realizes that the construction crew has already left and is, in fact, almost done building our second Corn Farm. JeffNights gives them a couple of licks with his whip and they complete the project. While JeffNights pauses to discuss evolutionary theory with a cat, the captive carpenters move on to work on the Sea Ration Factory. JeffNights does not notice until March that they are once again working on the wrong building. On the bright side, JeffNights does discover that cats are superior to dogs because they evolved much quicker . . . at least according to Darwin, the cat. 4 captives immediately take up farming on the corn farm as soon as it is built.
February 1650
After I spend some time speaking with Darwin, the cat, I realize the fallicies in my logic. The captives, in this case, were correct to build the Sea Ration Factory before the Docks. It will give the factory some time to start producing Sea Rations prior to our ship arriving. I now feel bad for making JeffNights sleep with the parasite infested captives. Arrr, what's the use in feelin bad anyhow. He prolly did somethin deservin of such punishment that I didn't know about. Construction continues on the Sea Ration Factory. Meanwhile, Calis reflects on a lost love. He seems to be walking around the island with a confused look on his face sayin, "Twas a mermaid not a manatee, I be certain!"
March 1650
There hasn't been mucf afore ye pirates to do on the island during yer short 3 month stay. In fact, a couple of ye, The Rollers to be certain, were caught trying to ferment tree bark to make up some sort of alcoholic concoction. In fact, the only really happy fellers are the CB's. Laying around on the beach and gamblin seems to be right up their alleys. Construction is completed on the Sea Ration Factory and we move two farmers from their farm to start cookin up some tasty sea rations in the factory.

What we be needin:
1 Docks
1 Boatyard
1 Brewery
1 Dive Bar (Serves Beer & Fruit)
1 Wenchery
1 Gambling Hall
1 Boat . . .
April 1650
JeffNights gets his orders right this time and the workers head off to build the dock. Meanwhile, the rest of ye scurvy dogs can get yer arses to work! Many of ye can take up overseer positions so ye can get paid. Aye, there be no place for ye to spend yer money yet, so ye may as well be workin. Yet I still can't get Tasan and TheAfoci off their arses. They seem to have discovered some local 'weed' that is fun to dry out, roll up, and smoke . . .
Captain AdmiralAFC seems to be getting a little edgy. All that money to spend and no high class wenches to spend it on! The docks get finished relatively quickly with JeffNights working his Overseer's Whip of Mighty Thrashings. The workers set off now to start building us our boatyard. It would be nice to have a boat, aye? After all, we are pirates!
May 1650
TheAfoci and Tasan are sitting back on the beach enjoying some of their newly found smokes, when . . .
TheAfoci: "Yarrr . . . what do ye make of the clouds, Tasan?"
Tasan: "They be white and fluffy, matie. Wait. That one looks like a wench with big . . . "
TheAfoci: "Yeah . . ."
Tasan: "What is it that ye see?"
TheAfoci: "That one looks like an Schooner flying England's flags . . ."
Tasan: "Yeah . . ."
Hobbes-:"AHOY! Ship coming ashore!"
The schooner pulls up to the dock and ties itself down. If we had but some sort of defense on this island we'd be able to defend ourselves! Wait, what's this, they are requesting to see Captain Ravenbeard? Hobbes- takes the Englishmen to see Ravenbeard. Captain Ravenbeard does not seem surprised to see them. After spending about half an hour talking, the Englishmen return to their ship and push 7 people out of the boat and onto the dock. This mixture of men and women all seem to be in shackles. With that done, the ship untethered itself and set sail to the north.
June 1650
Arrr . . . it looks as though we have 7 new captives to put to work. We must quickly put them to work. Build them a construction tent, so they can help build the boatyard and then start building the brewery! thealmighty is handed his own Overseer's Whip of Mighty Thrashings and the new captives are put to work under his watch. Time passes slowly as all the pirates yearn for beer, food, and wenches.

A ragged figure lies on the beach of a small deserted island, litte more than a stone's throw from one end to the other. A few scarce palm trees offer the only shade from a relentless sun, and the figure appears oblivious to the scant shade available. Upon closer examination, it appears that the figure is oblivious to everything, judging by the low snore exiting from his nose and the numerous empty rum bottles scattered about.
A wave crashes ashore, wetting the man's bare feet and stirring him from his alcohol-induced slumber. Slowly he stirs, groaning loudly and sitting up, immediately moving his hand to his head.
"To the depths with the lot of 'em," he mutters as he slowly struggles to his feet. Sand falls from the tattered remains of his clothes as he stands, and his hand moves from his forehead to the rough beginnings of an unwanted beard on his chin.
"No sense in fightin' it, we guess," he states with a sigh, and removes a worn pistol from inside his rags. He places the pistol to his temple and stares out to sea, a mixture of longing and hatred upon his weather-worn face.
"We'll settle up after, ye scurvy..." his voice trails off and he squints. Far off in the surf he sees figures swimming, sea turtles apparently...big ones.
"That gives us an idea, it does," he says, grinning through sun-cracked lips. "Aye it does..." he lowers the pistol and begins to wade into the surf.
Note: Put me on the waiting list, Ravenbeard. When it's my turn to join your merry little band, that means this ragged figure has found a way off of this island.
"...and really bad eggs." :)

Avast, me maties!
Twas a busy year if e'er I saw one:
July 1650
At long last our boatyard be completed. Many a poor captive carpenter felt the mighty bite of JeffNights' and thealmighty's whips! Yarrr!! but they deserved . . . lazy mugs. Now we finally have a place to send our two talented shipwrights to build a boat. Alas! We have nae enough wood to build a dingy! We must start savin' up some wood, or we need to start hittin our lumberjacks a little harder with the whips. I notice that Qwikshot and Blade6119 are slackin at their whippin! Yarrr!!! When I head out to the timber camp I see the two Wolves gabbin away like two old ladies! "Wish we had a boat" this, and "real pirates need to be out on the sea" that! With all the whine they were spewin, I began to wonder if they weren't truly Rollers. "Get off yer lazy tookasses or there'll be no sailin for either of ye!"
August 1650
There be beer on the isle! We completed our brewery and grabbed a few farm women by the ears showing them politely to the brewery. The lasses quickly went to work brewin the beer. I was so happy that I could cry.
Yet on me way back to my Palace, I noticed that Calis was eyein an island chimp quite strangely. Though I weren't be lookin' or nuttin', I couldn't help but tell that there was a foul wind in his sails, if yer knowin what I mean. I think that it is perhaps time to build a wenchery. Calis is nae the only pirate that needs a porthole to peek in.
September 1650
Ahhhh!!! [ looks around selfishly ] that WAS refreshing. The first mug 'o ale was produced by the good ladies at the brewery . . . So I drank it . . . once again rendering the island beerless. It appears that there was a flaw in some of my logic. Although we are now producin beer, we have no place to sell it to thirsty pirates like ye! Keep suckin on that coconut milk, boys. A remedy will be here soon . . . I hope . . . for my sake.
Other promises, however, are being delivered on. St. Nowhere Island built its first wenchery! Huzzah! Now where . . . oh where . . . can we find a woman to work in the 'service' industry. JeffNights complained about his whippin' arm gettin tired, so I decided not to construct any buildings . . . until we have our ship . . .
October 1650
After castin me eyes about the island for about a week or so, I found a pert little lass that would fill our new service facility quite well. Allison Carter be her name. I caught a glimpse of her in the morning light as she was harvesting corn at one of our farms. When she bent over to pick up the bushel, I noticed that my telescope was lookin right at her. Perfect for the job. I have her 'escorted' to her new job by one of our guards . . . and guess what . . . he was first in line! pskov's name was cursed by many a sailor that day.
Looking at our lumber supply, makes me a wee bit queasy. We currently have 20 lumber and could build a small ship called a Snow. This type of ship can hold a crew of four plus a captain. Though it be fast, I'm wantin a bigger ship, so Blade6119 and Qwikshot get back to their whippin . . .
November 1650
Alas, Hobbes- once again reports that a ship bearing England's cover is approaching our docks. The same ritual occurs as it did before. Hobbes- brings the English officer to me palace, we meet briefly and then the English officer proceeds to unload 7 more captives for our working pleasure. Yarr!! We was runnin low, so it be good.
After the Limeys leave, Hobbes- comes to my door and starts muttering something in French. "Speak English boy! None of this voulet vous couche avec mois shit!" Hobbes- reluctantly lowers himself to speaking the more primative language. He wonders if this going to be a regular occurence. I reply, "Perhaps . . . for now . . ."
Just as Hobbes- leaves me company, Qwikshot, comes runnin up to me door, followed by an apparently slower Blade6119.
"We have enough lumber!"
"For what?" I coyly ask.
"The Schooner!"
"Neptune's blessing is truly on us today! Tell those scallywaggers down at the boatyard to get goin!"
In other news, JeeberD begins braggin about the sloppy seconds that he got after pskov left Allison Carters house. It may not be much to brag on, matie, but it still be more than 14 others on the island have to brag on.
December 1650
Winter sets in and I begin to fear for me life. The Wolves be itchin for a boat and some food, the Rollers wish that I'd let them drink straight out of the hopper at the brewery (and methinks that JeeberD has been doin so), the CB's are gambling away bananas to the local wild life, things seem to be quite dark for the pirates this month. The Crusties seem relatively happy as they have money from workin and there are plenty a' pirate to guard the island, as we have no boats.
Still me throat can already start to feel the rope. With 6 Wolves on the island (with a good amount in their purse), I find that they hold the sway. I must do something to appease the Wolves. They be lookin for food and wenchin. Even though Allison turns out to be a talented wench, she can't handle more than 5 pirates at a time, and well . . . let's just say that some of the buckos just aren't into that kind of thing. I must build smuggler's dives, taverns, and wencheries next year.
Just when I thought that the island was going to turn on me . . . I won some friends. The Schooner has been completed! We have a ship! Currently that is the only place to eat on the island, because it has sea rations! Praise Neptune!

ALL ABOARD!
AdmiralACF: Ye be needin to do a couple o' things bein as yer cap'n.
1. Ye need to name yer ship and christen it . . . if yer bein into that kinda thing. The name can be only 20 letters long though. We ain't got much paint.
2. Ye need to be declarin a crew. Might I suggest that at this stage in our glorious history that ye find fellers that are good with their swords, sailing and navigation. Being that we don't have any cannons or muskets yet, ye don't need to worry much about them. However, feel free to fill the chaffe with whatever pirate that ye see fit. Ye need to find 7 swabbies to fill out the crew of the Schooner.
Faction Leaders(if any have been declared):
1. Feel free to bribe yer cap'n with some faction points to get some of yer fellers onta his boat. Since I cannae transfer the gold ye be needin to give up faction points. Remember: Ye get more gold from sailin than ye do on dry land, which will give ye a bigger purse, which in turn helps yer faction out when it comes to SWAY.
2. Don't forget that it only costs 10 faction points per attempt at assasinating a pirate! It will cost an extra 10 if ye kill an innocent. However, if the pirate ye assasinate be a mole . . . more faction points for ye! And NO ye cannae get faction points on credit, ye can only spend what ye got!
I prolly won't get to write again until this weekend, so ye have some time to work out what ye need to.
Now get back to work ye slime suckin' toad humpers!

Alas! It is time to set sail!
January 1951
The fellers be itchin leave port. What, with a new boat an all, we'll dominate the seas! Yet, I have to keep me head atop of me. After all, em scurvy Sea Wolves have a lot of money and such. I best be lookin out fer their best interests. So it be that me first command of the new year is to build a place to eat! At long last we start breaking ground on "The Slimy Rope," a hell-hole of an eatery, but it be better than coconuts. Best of all, this new dive has a penchant for servin beer that will wet all our whistles.
The next order of business will be to find an adequate quest for The Crusty Barnacle. Hmm . . . what more can I do to appease these feral Wolves . . . AHA! I'll send the Barnacle out to kidnap us a skilled farmer. Rumor has it that these 'skilled farmers' can give us the ability to grow different plants other than just corn. I here that they can cultivate bananas, papayas, tobacco, and even . . . hold yer hats on me maties . . . sugar! What's so special about sugar ye say? Ye plankheads! Sugar is fer makin' rum! I give me orders to good ol' AdmiralACF to fetch me a skilled farmer. The capn' ceremoniously breaks a coconut about the hull to christen her properly, then tolls the bell for all his crew to come aboard.
Boarding are: Travis, Qwikshot, Tasan, jfbbis, Hobbes-, Blade6119, and Calis.
Anchors Aweigh, me buckos!
February 1651
It seems as though I have ill-timed the launch of the maiden voyage of The Crusty Barnacle. As the boarding bell rings, The Slimey Rope officially opens, unleashing its wonderous ale on our thirsty lips. Travis and Tasan stop to have a beer before they board. When they finally reach the boat, AdmiralACF has some harsh words for them. 'Stopping for a drink,' it would seem, turned into a week long afair and has delayed the launch of our boat. Arrrr! Finally we get the two landlubbers aboard and our ship sets sail.
March 1651
Apparently there was a bloody skilled farmer on the next isle over. It takes AdmiralACF no time to return with the slacker. We quickly put the bugger to work under the watchful (or semi watchful, now that beer is on the isle) eye of JeeberD. JeffNights and thealmighty crack their bless-ed whips upon the shoulders of our captive carpenters and a papaya farm begins to form.
Learning his lesson from the last port, AdmiralACF quickly gets his orders. In fact, the bloody Crusty doesn't even let his crew ashore for a beer. He sends his trusty 1st mate, Hobbes-, to me to garner his orders for his next trip. After long reflection, I send the boyos out to fetch us a Skilled Server. What's it worth havin a beer if ye don't have a sultry waitress that ye can harass? I've heard that these 'skilled servers' know something about runnin an actual tavern . . . hmmmm . . . sounds good to me. I drop a sack of coins into Hobbes- hands with a parchment that contains the orders. He dutifully heads back to the ship and delivers the orders and the sack of coins to the cap'n. It less than a blink o' an eye, the lads are off to sea again.
I but turn my back for one minute and the sailors are back at port. Thinkin, there be somethin' wrong, I immediately set off for the docks.
"What in bloody christ's name are ye doin' AdmiralACF!" I asks.
"We got ye yer silly server girl, Cap'n Ravenbeard, sir," he quaintly replies.
"We did?!"
"Yessir"
"How'd ye get back so quick?"
"We saw the lady on the isle that we kidnapped the farmer from. If ye would have told me to fetch one then, we wouldn't ha' needed to make the second trip."
"Oh . . . well, then . . . good job, Cap'n AdmiralACF . . . why don't ye go fetch a skilled wench for ye and the boyos, then."
And with that, The Crusty Barnacle set sail.
Time to build a couple of wench houses, then, I'd say . . .

As it is that I have been givin most of me money away to appease the Sea Dogs, it appears that I am fresh out! Kidnappin them wenches and waitresses costs us money! Sadly, though, we have no cutlasses to cut the throats of decent seafarin folk. What a predicament I be in . . .
When the laddies get back with the experienced wench, I s'pose I could give em shore leave for a bit . . . so they can spend a little of that earned money . . .
April 1651
At the crack of dawn on the 4th of April, JeeberD spots the sails of the The Crusty Barnacle. One would like to think that JeeberD was up early for his duty, but no, bein' one o' em Rollers, he saw dawn from the other end of the bottle. Almost ready to pass out after a hard night of partyin', ol' JeeberD decides to wait for his ship to come in.
The ship docks half an hour later, with minimal commotion. Only a couple of folks on the boat be awake from grueling night at sea. Hobbes- ties up The Crusty Barnacle and prepares to escort the captive down the gangplank. JeeberD's jaw hits the ground when he sees this fair beauty, fightin' her way down the plank with Hobbes- holding her elbow tightly. Hobbes- looks exhausted, and the Cap'n, well he's got business with Ravenbeard. Looking around the isle, JeeberD notices nobody else up and about on the island. A slow grin comes to his face . . .
"Ye look a bit weary, ye do, old Hobbsy. Ye want me to take the lady to her new accomo . . . accomo . . . accomoda . . . room?" JeeberD offers eagerly.
"Why that would be grand of ye, merde tet. Besides I'm a little exhausted after me turn with her." Hobbes replies.
"Yer turn? How many of ye had turns?"
"Well, everbody went once, and a couple of us snuck in a second or third round of freebies if ye know what I mean."
JeeberD's grin fell off his face as he began to march the wench to her new place of business.
"Don't worry, hon," she said, "for a couple o' gold I'll put that grin right back on yer face."
JeeberD took her to her new residence, the door closed and he emerged about an hour later, with the grin firmly back in place.
May 1651
I have declared shore leave for all ye swarthy rats! Enjoy! In the meantime, I'm building a pig-iron foundry. I'll be needin some pig iron to fashion us some cutlasses so we can start raidin some of those rich ships!

Not much be goin on in June, and yer all too drunk to notice. I sure hope ye don't sober up to quickly . . .

July 1651
We're kinda out of the money, so I let ye boys run amuck with the ladies and the booze. I need to make some of that money back off a ya's.
August 1651
August was a busy month it was. We built ourselves an iron mine. Iron be a fine thing, ye can make sharp pointy things with it ta stab flagrant resistors with. It takes the month put the iron mine up. We then staff it with some of our captives out of the stockade and immediately put JeeberD to work slaving the miners. In addition, we construct another chuck tent for the captives to eat their corn gruel at. We also lay plans to build an iron refinery and a weaponsmith.
September 1651
Whilst on guard duty, WSUCougar overhears a conversation inside my office:
"Ye can't build the weaponsmith first ye dolt! Ye need the refinery to process pig iron to use at the weaponsmith shop"
"Ye don't say"
"I do say, ye blasted ignoramous!"
"What's an ignoramus, is that like a hippopotamus?"
"Yes . . . like a hippopotamus . . . By the way, there is the matter of my fee . . ."
"Here ye go kitty! Here's some liver."
"Stop calling me kitty! My name is Darwin, and I own you!"
"Don't let the door hit ya in the . . ."
"RAAAAAAAAAAARRRREEEEEEEE!!!!"
". . . on the way out . . ."

Tomorrow night, we find out who takes sway for 1652, and just how well all of ye lads are doin in the money department.
