View Full Version : 10 things I hate about you...err, the new board

1. No "online!" or "offline"...just that gay V thing.
2. The poster's ID is across the top instead along the side.
3. User's online, today's birthdays, and stuff on bottom instead of top.
4. Hattrick forum appears to be in Never Land.
5. The new preview window for threads can be annoying...sometimes I'm just trying to scroll down...not preview!

Ok, so it's only 5.

That said I totally like the new stuff about the board. I just wish I had some of the stuff back.

Pretty soon I'll be using the word "fritz" for my curse words instead of "jeeberd". :)

#1) This may have been what you were saying.... but That gay V thing does the online - offline function.. it "lights" up if the user is online... and is "dark" with the user offline.

Thanks; I realized that. I just like seeing the words rather than the V thing.

especially since I can never remember if "blue" is on, or "white" is on.

If you hover your cursor over the check mark/V thing you'll get a text box that says "Blah blah is online now." The text will also show up in your browser's status bar.

If you have no interest in the multiplayer forums you can click the arrows at the far right of the multiplayer category, and that will hide those forums and move the hattrick forum slightly further up the page

How do you unhide them? This has been driving me insane. I accidently pushed these and everything requires an extra click to access.

Also I think on some skins there is now an icon for online, offline, just a matter of making some different buttons. For sure Spuds has icons instead of buttons, and probably the Habitue and Flush do, and maybe Day at the O.. not positive.

I think red means the poster is in your house, possibly right behind you. This new forum rocks!

Red means you are invisible, aka, you have your preferences set to no one can see you in who's online.

I think you just click the arrows again to unhide them

Believe it or not I had thought of that. :) It isn't working for me in Opera. At work, where I am now, I use IE and it does work just like that. I guess I'm SOL on my laptop as I prefer Opera. Oh well, I do most of my reading here anyway.

For some reason my PC at work doesn't remember I like the Habitue theme. At home it works fine.
