I have just completed my first season with Front Office 2004, and cannot help but notice the high turnover of rosters by all the teams. It seems heading into Week 1 of Free Agency most of the teams have just under 20 players with contracts. Does that seem to be the norm?

Pretty much so in my experience. Computer teams seem to let their FA walk a lot. Probably a bit too much according to the board consensus...

Between 12-20 is the "norm." Roster management is one of the top 3 issues that needs to be addressed in a patch. League continunity is nonexistant with the current system :(.

Where in the heck have you been? First season??? :)
Shoot, I only had 33 signed players at the start of the 2007 season. With the cap, I think huge turnovers are part of the effects.

Actually, this is pretty much on par with the NFL teams. Most of the teams going into free agency only have, in most cases, at most half of their team still under contract. Most teams end up resigning several players through the free agency period. If you look at NFL rosters year-to-year, you'll see that most teams end up with at least 1/3 of their roster being completely new people (be it FA signings or rookies). Usually it is closer to half.

continuing with the last thread... does anyone know where accurate offseason NFL rosters can be located? I am looking for an up to date listing of who's signed on each team for next season and what their respective cap numbers are. I know that there are a few teams that are way over the cap (Miami and Denver) and a few that have a ton of money to spend (Minny and Baltimore)
