The Movies (http://compsimgames.about.com/cs/themovies/a/themoviespre.htm)

I know this game has been mentioned in the past around here - seems like it's been in development forever, but it looks like it's actually going to come out in the next year. Sort of a super-enhanced Hollywood Mogul. I'm really looking forward to this one.

Man, I am really psyched about this one as well. I hope all the features I originally read about are still in this.

This game looks cool. They did announce it pretty early in the developement cycle (which is why it seems like it has been forever. They did say when they first announced it that it should be done by 2005...). I've been waiting for this one since it was announced too.

I've read a few articles on this in the last year or so and it always looked promising.

yawn - wake me when they release it. This thing has been in production for a long time.

Good question as to when we'll see it. It has been in development forever. My fear is that the game will be light on the acually running of a studio concept and focus more on making those little short films and picking out wizard robes and hats for your characters.

I'm more eagerly anticipating the other long-in-development movie sim, Hollywood Mogul 3. If there's not another date change, we're just seven months away! :)

I've been looking forward to this as well, but doesn't it seem that the movies you make may become repetitive after a while?

I stupidly wasted most of Sunday playing the demo. While it is addictive, I also had the impression that it will quickly become repetitive.

Now I have to try Smugglers 3.

I never had faith in peter molynieux games (black & white, dungeon keeper, populus), they're using more of achievement in game programming than game design

I thought Dungeon Keeper and Populas were great games.

I can't let pass a thread about movie simulation games without pointing out the excellent online game film-mogul at www.film-mogul.com

Where did you find the demo?

Thx

FM... Hee hee hee. I'll stick with single player games rather than deal with them.

How is that Hollywood Mogul game anyways? I remember seeing it in Bonegravel's thread awhile ago.
