Rate My Buy, Nothing!

I know I just got an absolutely awesome deal. And, on the US market, even (too bad the player is from Oceania). I sold original Hippo Stephen Connors for $2M and change this past week. He was one of our best at exc stamina and outstanding playmaking but he was 26 and so I wanted someone younger to take his place training at middie.

So, I earmarked some of that cash for a new trainee and went out looking for 17yo excellents and 18yo formidables because I wanted someone who could start by the end of next season. I got all that and more. Welcome the newest Hippo, who came to us for the bargain price of $1.53M.

I missed out on the 18yo formidable with solid passing. He went for $2.2M this morning but I think I'll survive. I know he's got at least one week of training towards the next level (which I don't even know what it is) because his value listed on the transfer list was $380-something K and his form was the same. He's good for 3.5 stars now and once I get in a couple of weeks of stamina training (as soon as I sell Benito and bring in a new trainee)... look out. :D

That puts my middies at 24, 19, 18 for starters and 19, 18, and 17 for trainees. Woo!

EDIT: You'll have to forgive my enthusiasm. I'm just very happy right now :D

That there is what you call a steal. 18 year old outstanding? Eesh. He'll be ahead of my training program very soon. Bitch. :)

('Course, my starters are products of my "Ultra Cheap Trainee" program, and my trainees are not real high priced. I only have 1 stud in the works. 'Nother stud coming in the next batch.)

nice deal, but ya gotta remember.... its all about stamina and secondary's. No secondary middies are dirt cheap and no secondary middies with low stamina are even cheaper.

If your willing to buy a guy with low stamina then you'll always find a good buy on middies, Even young ones. :)

P.S. are you ever gonna upgrade the rest of that div. V team you have playing in div. IV????? You and CW are the only 2 middy trainer's i know that sell middies and buy another middy with all the money you made from the sale :eek: :eek: :eek: :eek:

Wah, wah, wah! I'm getting there. ;)

I have about $2M in the bank but I want a little more, then I get an uber striker. I've got my 3.5 star keeper, I've gotten a 3.5 star wingback with some of that cash, already had another 3.5 star wingback, and already have a 3.5 star striker. But I needed to get a trainee to have a replacement so I don't lose a week of training. I'm working on it- have patience. I'll sell Benito towards the end of the season, replace him, and then I should be able to get a nice striker upgrade and then look at where else on my team I should make a move. Maybe a nice young winger :)
