Poker statistics & strategies

What are a few websites or books that will give a list of statisics/odds or strategies? I've been doing ok at Poker Stars but there are still some hands where I don't know how the "rules" suggest you play it. Or are there no "standard" rules like blackjack?

the basic key to getting started is having selective starting hands. everything else is to complex to possibly explain.

how do you stand AP? the software just drives me nuts... and the damn fold button is in the wrong place. I'm finishing up my bonus, cashing out next month and never going back.

See, I like AP.... it's where I started..... I've never had a problem with them.... If I run into troubles I just restart an I'm fine.... I've also won a lot of money there.... so I like the place... :)

Also, there 30 day withdrawal policy on bonuses is just ridiculous compared to other sites.

BUT

Party Poker definitely has the worst players, and therefore is the most profitable. Also, it has by far the most players, so there are tons of games going at all times, and the sit-n-go tournaments always start nearly instantly.

Poker Stars is definitely a good site, but its tough to get a tournament (sit-n-go) going, and they never have any sort of bonus offers.

Also, don't play while doped up on painkillers. Did that once and ended up not seeing that I made my flush....twice. :)
