After the ball got lifted in from the left Christos Mpaltzis was on his own in the home side´s penalty area 65 minutes into the game, and should have scored, but missed, probably due to lack of concentration.
i know this isnt anything new, but what causes a lack of concentration? team confidence, form, experience, something else?

can't be too much different from my opponent missing "later claiming that 'the floodlights blinded him'." hehehe

Not sure...I think that's just a reference to a failed scoring opportunity. Your midfield created a chance, and your offense failed to convert on their defense...has nothing to do with the individual player, I don't think.

I believe he missed it due to confidence.

I too had a statement like this in this week's league match. The player was Bynum, a solid experience player on my squad....I'm thinking it was somehow stamina & confindence-based. He doesn't have great stamina if I remember right, and my team confidence has been wonderful as I've been wiping the floor with my series-mates (and for all but one of them, I feel pretty bad about it).
So yeah, I'm voting with TP on this, most likely confidence.

Team confidence could play a role in confidence...just maybe

Actually I just looked over my players again...it seems that Bynum, my guy who got that statement has excellent stamina. But he is in poor form. So I'm voting now for confidence or FORM, not stamina...

my guy was in passable form when he got this message. doesnt the rules mention "self confidence"? do they just mean team confidence or is there a hidden attribute?

Confidence...not to be confused with concentration.
Not that I have any idea what the actual cause of this event was, just throwing that out there...

true, if you really think about how concentration works, i would think maybe experience would cause this. this guy is currently at low weak experience.
My total player experience that is shown in the match report was wretched, so maybe thats why?

Yeah but generally if a player misses it's because of confidence. If the event says the defense stopped it then the attack didn't beat your opponent's defense.
