I was just using the "DKBL" to get people to look at this, I know it is not our official name yet, even though it should be!

The weekend is over and now hopefully we can iron out a few things and possibly get started. A few things that come to my mind are obvious ones but let's get to talking about what we need to figure out...

1.) Which roster set to use (CBLCardinals seems to be a favorite)
2.) What finances to use (Looks as though salary cap might be turned off but not everybody has voted.
3.) A new and IMPROVED forum!
4.) Web space to host the website (http://www.angelfire.com/oz/rffl/dkbl.html).
5.) Get a final vote tally on the name of the league. Note: If the league name isn't DKBL, I dont know what we will do about a website unless somebody wants to just change the logo at the top of the one I created but with finals coming up I doubt I will have time to design a new one :(
6.) Make sure everybody has the game. Some people are waiting a certain amount of time.
7.) Find out if anything needs *major* fixing in a patch and wait for that to be released.

That is all I can think of off the top of my head. If we can find some webspace we can get a better board up (one that people don't dread trying to get into!) and work some things out and get the website working with all the proper links. We could also release the first league file when we agree on a roster set and then we will be close to being ready to go!

So, if anybody has webspace to host a forum and/or a league website please let us know!

Again, no rush on this stuff just making sure this doesn't die out. :)

I've sent emails to Ikonboard and my friend should have the ftp site up tonight.

I think it'll take a week or so for everyone to get familar with the game, patches, etc.. Once the forum is up, we can get going a little better.

I'm guessing we'll have a rather large turnover of initial owners, also. I think that once patch #1 is released, we'll give it a week or so, and get ready to rock and roll.

Sounds good to me. I can't wait until the patch is out to really get into a solo career. A week sounds like enough time for any other major glitches to pop up and for us to get familiar with this edition.

I haven't even bought OOTP6 yet. I've been kinda scared of it. Does it really require a patch that badly? When's a patch due? If the league is going to start up very soon, I guess I may have to drop out. I haven't been able to bring myself to buy the game yet.

The rumor is that a patch will be out very soon, probably some time this week. As far as how it plays I think there are some bugs which are annoying, most notably the drop of endurance in certain pitchers. However I haven't really played it much because I've been mostly playing CM 03/04 with my free time (partially because CM is such a great game and partially because I don't want to get too far into an OOTP career until after at least a patch is out.)

When are we looking to start this league up?

I'd say an opening day of a week from the day of the patch is a fair target.

Sounds about right to me. Still need webspace and a couple questions answered first. Also, some people might not even buy the game like Pumpy but we will see.

Speaking of that, Pumpy I would buy the game. It is great other than a few annoying things that will be fixed right away.

I haven't bought it yet, but that's more of an issue of funding. I may get it this weekend or next.

Well, I had some unexpected expenses with my car that really cut into my gaming budget. I get paid a week from Thursday, and then I'll be in position to buy the game, I'm sure. If we're playing sooner, I could always hit the wife up for money. :)

I won't have the game either for at least 2 weeks.

What's wrong with the forum we have right now? It works fine for me.

I missed this when you guys started up, but I'd be interested in a wait list spot. Thanks.
