Bah. TMQ is tired. He didn't get any better by moving to NFL.com.

NFL.com at my work is blocked. What kind of crazy malarkey is that?

At a high school. Plenty of other stuff goes through.

Wow... no access to NFL.com at a public school... I wonder why they'd block that..

Am I the only one who does not think that idiot is funny?

Am I the only one who does not think that idiot is funny?
no. He ocassionally makes an interesting point, but more often takes a barely funny idea and turns it into an excrutiatingly bad article.

No. I honestly think he's a pompous ass who's not nearly as clever as he thinks he is.

Corbes, if you ping NFL.com it will reply with the IP address of the site. Then type in the IP address ( which is http://216.19.170.252/) and you might be able to bypass the firewall.

Entertaining sidenote:

A student of mine ACTUALLY plagiarized Gregg Easterbrook in a paper for a history class last year, in reference to his "faith-based missles" program: http://www.santacruzgreenparty.org/faith.based.missles.htm

The kid was supposed to be writing about faith-based initiatives. Somehow, he thought this was real information. I dunno.

Edit: the sentences he copied:

1. President George W. Bush announced an initiative to develop a faith-based missile defense.

2. The faith-based defense would be nondenominational and designed to protect Jews, Muslims, Buddhists, and Wiccans, as well as Christians, officials said. (For technical reasons, it is unclear whether nonbelievers can be protected.)

I can't make this up.

I am generally a huge fan. That column was not the least bit funny.

I just provide the links. I don't warrant their content.

Man, I so do not fit in on this board. I don't find the Janet Jackson incident funny, but was rolling at some of TMQ's picks. Oh well, at least I can help my OCT 2000 brethren take over :D

of course, if port 80 is blocked on the firewall this probably won't work.

as for why nfl.com would be blocked at a school... Cheerleader pic/links.
