Nothing in particular. He is just a big purple...thing

Grimace was developed in the 70's with the help of the (then) beginning field of child psychology. McDonald's executives found that some kids were shying away from Ronald McDonald, because he was so bright, colorful and overthe top. So they designed grimace to be the opposite, one color, and goofy enough to make the kids want to run to Grimace and give them a hug, instead of running away.

SirFozzie was close but yet so far away. Well it is true that Ronald was scaring children by being a freaky guy, Grimace wasn't developed to counter him. He was developed in hopes of making Ronald less scary. With a large freaky blob next to him, Ronald looked less threatening and didn't have to do as much and look as aggressive.

I'll agree that SirFozzie was close, and Afoci is also close. Huggable, likable blob is correct, but he is purpose because psych tests indicate purple is one of the more relaxing, soothing colors in the spectrum. They did indeed want Grimace to be likable, but the choice of color was certainly not random.
Psycho-nut bastards painted my old office in Chicago that purple for that exact reason. I find nothing soothing about it personally, but hey.

Does anyone get the feeling with CW results so far that AE could give him the answer and he would still mess it up?
Let the trash talking begin.
I got nothing.

I'm still going for a straight 0 across the board. Far more of an accomplishment.
