Alright, I'm ashamed to admit it, but I actually got hooked on this darn thing last time around. I realize the poker isn't good, but I think that's part of the appeal -- these are people I can beat!

Good or bad news depending on your take: Kevin Pollack is out as host, replaced by Dave Foley from Kids in the Hall and NewsRadio. I liked Pollack, but I'll give Foley a shot.

The second season will also have two tournaments instead of one. The second field of 25 hasn't been announced, the first field has. Couple of holdovers from last season are back: Mo Gaffney, Michael Ian Black and Timothy Busfield.

Game 2 looks like the best field: Busfield, Gaffney, Dule Hill, Danny Masterson and James Woods. Busfield and Gaffney were pretty good last time out but lost some tough games. James Woods seems like he's probably a shark. I also like Dule Hill, so that should be cool.

Other games:

Game 1: Jerome Bettis, Rosario Dawson, Mena Suvari (yow-zuh!), Wanda Sykes and Travis Tritt. Maybe Suvari and Dawson will make it to the final two and turn it into strip poker.

Game 3: Michael Ian Black, Star Jones (dear god), Norm MacDonald, Adam Rodriguez and Jeremy Sisto. Not a lot of star power here.

Game 4: Sean Astin, Lauren Graham, Chris Masterson, Matthew Perry and Sara Rue. At first glance, this seems to have the most star power. Based on last season, I'm guessing this one turned out to be the dog. I'm betting Astin and Perry go out early and no-name moves on.

Game 5: James Blake, Jon Favreau, Andy Richter, Tom Everett Scott and Maura Tierney. Another interesting group, but it's buried in the back of the rotation, which means the fewest rerun opportunities. Probably means Jame Blake won.

If I had slightly less of a life, I'd suggest we start a pool on who wins. :)

there's a visual image I didn't need -- a Pumpy and MrBug Wanda Sykes sandwich. Ay carumba!

Radii's got the better idea with Lauren Graham -- there's something going on there.

Yeah, the first episode had me crackin' up so bad. It was hilarious stuff. Second episode was also solid. Hopefully Norm will survive long enough in the third one to keep it dry. I have my TiVo set!!!

When we were at the Mirage a few weeks ago, Norm McDonald was playing for hours on end at their poker room every night... he was sitting behind a huge stack of checks at the $20/$40 table one evening, doing pretty well, it seems.

I know he also played in the WSOP main event, though I don't recall hearing anything about his results.
