I must say im impressed and a bit scared that numbers continuing like these might keep Bush in office. DOnt get me wrong Im happy about he numbers, more workers employed is good....but there is so much bad in the white house....hang on Rumsfeld's apologizing......okay, that I still would like to see a new admin take their shot at honesty. If theyre not honest in 4 years, Ill vote them out too.

I loved the one where exporting jobs was good for all Industries except Pharmaceutical's, Bush's HUGE donor. thats awesomely hypocritical but par for the course.

Y'know, I used to wonder about that sort of thing and then I realized something: There's simply too much at stake to let them anywhere near the table ... EVER again.

Anytime I feel the least bit discouraged, or maybe start to tire a little bit, I think about that and it's instant motivation again.

ill just bring honesty to the table, that is all. that si foremost on my needs list. thats all, everything else falls under that umbrella. I hold that to be true in RL as well...With my friends and family. Tell me the truth, i dont care if it hurts but the truth is what matters to me. Thats all.

honesty from whom? I'm pretty liberal and registered democrat and hope to hell that bush does not get re-elected, but I'm not crazy enough to ask for honesty out of a politician.

Ahhh, so what you are saying is that Bush is bad in spite of, not because of what happens to the country while he is in office. As long as it's in the open. If you're hoping for honesty (which I'll admit the Bush Administration lacks in general) I hope you don't hold any hope out for Kerry.

ill judge it (the next guy) during (his term) and when the voting comes up. I always have hope. I was a fan of Bush when he was running as it seemed that honesty and forthrighteousness was his forte but that seemed to go out the window. Im sure that the Rep. side of the Media will expose and find enough dirt on Kerry (if/when) that Ill vote for someone else, but i cannot, in good conscience vote for a man and an admin that I feel looks me in the face and lies. That has been the crux of my stances on all of my posts. NEVER anythig personal against anyone at FOFC.

Honesty? How about leadership? Isn't that what's the most important thing that a leader should have. Where was this guy durnig the Clinton's 'honest' administration?

The thing I dont think bush is being as dishonest as you guys all think, now his administration has been dishonest in certain areas too. But you can make all the accusations about what he was trying to do but do you know those were his intentions? You gunna listen to some guy named Richard Clarke who has a hidden agenda, yea bush could be lieng about the whole thing but I wouldnt put my money on it. Bush is better than the public gives him credit for.

Clinton was honest for the most part and got caught in a Personal screw up which he lied about, I wasnt happy about that either but then again, I didnt even own FOF back then so there wasnt any posting place :). Ill take personal screwups anyday over this stuff. Shoot, even bush snorted coke and got out of that...but I dont care about that. so he flip flopped, he tried it, amybe more than once, realized it was a bad thing, "flip flopped" and decided not to do it again. "Flip Flopping" = not a bad thing.

2. The admin, is what I have the MOST probs. w/ not so much Bush but you can only vote on him. I think ROve, Rumsfeld, Condee are bad to the core. NOW, keep in mind I dont think that they think that they are bad...I think that they do what they think is best...I just disagree with how they go about it and all of the deceipt (sp?). and thus the vote i will place this fall, against the lying, against the economic policy, against the foreign policy so.....there you go.

Very understandable, I dont like rumsfeld or cheney but and from the books I have read condi has been ok but I like powell and Bush and believe Bush has been truthfull in what he says.

I'm not going to vote against Bush!...












For the economic upswing that has happened. I for one believe that his tax cuts haven't helped the economy, it’s just the natural hand that has guided the economy, the reduced presence of corporate fraud. Or his record on protecting America from terrorism. I think he's handled it pretty well after 9/11.

BUT I'm going to vote against him for a few reasons.
1. Foreign policy - He's lead us into a war that wasn't need. It had nothing to do with terrorism and quite frankly I still don't know why we're in Iraq. My philosophy on war is that we should only go into a country when there is a clear and present danger to America. Like Afghanistan being a hotbed for the bastards that attacked us. Iraq didn't pose that threat. There was no WMD, no link with Al-Qaida.

2. Environmental Policy - His assault on the environment has been unprecedented. Furthermore his admin has purposely slanted scientific information to support his policies. The environment doesn't get a lot of press and it helps Bush, because if it did, he would have to tone down his war on the environment.

3. Faith Based Presidency - He's a close friend of the religious right. Many of his policies are religiously driven. For example his faith based initiative to give money to Church organizations that help out the less fortunate. I don't have a problem with helping the less fortunate, I have a problem with the fact that $0 has gone to churches other than Christian ones.

4. More logically than anything is that I think that our government works much better with one party owning the presidency and the other party being the majority in the Congress. I don't think the Dems have much hope of winning that majority, so hopefully they win the presidency.

5. Another thing is that if Bush gets reelected I'm afraid that he'll become more conservative and more religiously driven in his second term. It would also help out the religious right attack on free speech, which doesn’t bode well for democracy.

Finally, I know that people just say stop whining, but Bush never the presidency in the first place! The 2000 election was a mockery of democracy.
