A friend and I were going to fly out there as "buying representatives" from the used game store he pretty much keeps in business because they have tickets every year that they don't use. Unfortunately, after syllabuses (syllabi?) were handed out the first week of the semester, that fell through because I have three projects due this week :(

Yeah, I am.
Small teeny tiny favor NCAA2005 please let me know the features and be sure to tell them to make sure players actually progress.

I doubt I'm going to have much time for EA at E3, given their level of response to my PR inquiries over the months. Myy time will be much better spent with companies who actually make a fucking effort to work with me.

One of these days I should take one of the guest passes Gamespy likes to email me about, and hop on a plane to LA.

I can think of worse ways to spend a week. :)

SackAttack

And about $1000, between your hotel and plane ticket, Ryan. ;)

I'm fortunate in that for the last four years, it's been a simple matter of a train ride for me to get there. Means I can usually attend the show for $50 or less, total. Woo.

It would not be so bad.

I can get flights to LA for about £340. Hell, it probably costs me more to fill up my car over here!

I also have a cunning plan to avoid hotel bills. I will show up at your front door and sleep on your couch for a week. :)

£340 is pretty close to $500, isn't it? Hell, even if the pound buys you $1.50 USD, that's $510. And if that's not round-trip, that's actually a total of $1,020.

Sorry, we just had the couches reupholstered. But we have a lovely hardwood floor for you! :D

I just want to know if NCAA Football 2005 will be on Xbox Live. I guess EA will make an announcement if this is the case, but if I could get some information from someone I trust who's at E3, that'd be great.

Um. Hint hint.

SackAttack

You clearly don't trust me, or you wouldn't be playing that EA crap to begin with. :D

Given that I've already graduated, and that the aforementioned graduation was from a university that does not have a football team, if I don't go with EA, how else will I play college football? Besides, the NCAA Football games are some of my most favorite ever. So nyah. :p

Bah.

Anyway, the answer is yes.

Other than your guys' upcoming titles, I am really looking forward to NCAA 2005, ESPN NFL 2005, Gran Turismo 4, and the new Pirates! remake.

I'm not quite following your complaint - you don't think offseason player progression works correctly in NCAA 2004?

No I mean I am afraid they are going to mess it up like they did MVP Baseball 2004.

Ah. I doubt that will happen for a couple of reasons: 1) If it ain't broke, don't fix it and 2) NCAA is made by Tiburon while MVP is made by EA Canada, so it's different designers in charge of each game.

From what I've heard, the primary upgrade to NCAA 2005 is the home-field advantage stuff.
