I currently have a 40,000 seat arena. I am in IV.19.. fighting for 3rd place and looking to get top 3 next season. I have been getting 9-10 supporters a shot since my cup run for the most part. This seasons home match attendance was the following:

I was thinking I need to upgrade to 60,000 seats, but wanted others input as well. I was considering going as high as 75,000. I have plenty of money and see myself closer to the top of the series the next two seasons. I doubt I will promote next season, but what do most of you do? Try to upgrade enough for 2 seasons worth or just do one per season as I am pretty sure I could almost sell out 60k seats at the end of next season.
Any thoughts?

I've done one upgrade a season for the last two seasons and I usually shoot for 33-34 times my number of supporter at the time of the upgrade. 60k would give you 34.68 times the number of supporters, which would be quite reasonable. I think you'd pay too much maintenance fee with a 75k seats stadium to be worth it to go that high.
I have 60036 seats in my sytadium and I just sold out a league game with 1892 supporters, but my team has not lost one league match this season...

If I can almost sell out of a 75k stadium. You can too... you win more than me.

I think the upgrade should be done all at once. Easier and cheaper.

oh and remember the part where i said money wasn't an option.. that was before I bought a $4.9 mil keeper.. lols :) Naa I have some money left.. I should be okay.. 20k only costs 444k. Maybe I'll go 25k.. If I only do 20-25k I will need to upgrade again next season I'm thinkin

so you'd say go up to 75k now?.. spend the extra 300-350 now and get 15k more seats that I don't use for at least 3/4 of a season? Hasn't someone worked this out financially.. what would I pay for weekly costs for those extra 15k seats for say.. 10-12 weeks..
As you can see.. I'm still torn

One sold out cup match would pay for the difference considering that you pay $30,000 each new construction.

the way i read that.. 10k per week more.. but if I sell out 1 home cup game that's 100k more.. so that makes up for 10 weeks of having the bigger stadium.. another cup sellout or a game with more than 60k would make up for the different for the rest of the season and save me building costs next season...
is that how you're looking at it?

I went through all this thought a couple seasons ago and had it down to 3 sellouts per season will pay for the additions.

Yes. I figure it like you would likely sellout at least one game of the 10 if you are in high position and play another high position team. Either way, I think the loss would be minimal ($70,000 if you never exceed 60,000 fans during those ten games), but the gain could be pretty big if you get sellouts a few times.

I also suggest building well above the recommended amount of VIP seats, I have about 2.4% and they still sell out well before anything else.

Might as well go to 90,000 while you're at it. Save an additional $30,000.

(Which is to say, the Hattrix arenasizer doesn't tell you to get enough VIP seats -- HT Buddy says 2.5%, and my experience is in line with this.)

I just jumped from 40k+ up to 80k. One home match left, should be a really loud cha-ching sound heard this weekend from Cinci.
