A former coach?

The rules clear state you can't sell your coach, but what about ones that have been converted to players because you got a new one.

Rules:

When you hire a new coach, he becomes the coach of your squad (when he arrives, which may take up to a minute after you ordered him) and the old coach stays on the squad (in case you want to keep him as player). If you don't want him, you will have to fire him. He can never become coach a second time!. Also, you cannot sell a player who has become coach. This is important, as otherwise people would start trading coaches and that is not the kind of system we want. All new teams get initial coaches who are of equal skill level (weak).

good point. I think it is kinda dumb. If a take someone from passable leadership to wretched leadership no one is going to want to buy him for a head coaching position. But someone may want him as a player for their team.

i think there are a couple reasons...

1. there is a trick associated with anti-clowns. you can turn them into a coach. then get a new coach right after that. so they no longer affect your TS because present and past coaches cannot be team leaders. there are disadvantages like they can no longer gain skill, but if the player was already highly skilled or skilled in something you didnt train, that doesnt matter. plus then you could sell anti clowns that dont affect TS which would just be a nightmare.

2. they probably wanted to avoid another type of transfer for daytraders to exploit.

3. i think ex coaches that are fired are recycled in the external recruiting coach program.

I'm pretty sure tha coaches can still be trained... they just can't get any better i nthe coach skill.
