What is your favorite horror film villain?

I'm gunna have to go with Freddy Krueger out of all of these. Tough choice, but growing up this guy would scare the b'jesus out of me. I still remember many a sleepless night after watching a <i>Nightmare on Elm Street</i> movie.

Yeah, but I saw the first 2 or 3 at the same time on USA when they would do marathons on Saturday afternoons. Even on basic cable I was horrified, and yet the girls in underwear somehow made it better.

I voted Krueger as my favorite. It's not that he scared me but made me laugh. I loved how he would basically tease and play with his vicitims before finishing them off.

Michael Myers. The first Halloween remains a favorite of my wife and I. Every October that movie kicks off a month-long horror move fest in our home.

I'll give honorable mention to David(don't recall his last name), the lead character in American Werewolf in London. He's sort of a tragic villian in that he's a good guy with little choice in the carnage he creates and that ultimately does him in. That movie also remains a favorite of mine.
