View Full Version : FOF Newbie Questions
Dale And Eli's Dad

I just bought FOF and have the "newbie" introduction from this board. I just wanted to ask those of you who've played the game for a while which add-ons are the best to use with the game?
I'm still trying to figure it out...can you edit players/change names/etc. on an established game or do you have to do it before you start the league? I.E. I like to change the names of two of the best players in the league to my son's names (on my team, of course.) Is this something that has to be done in the Excel file before import or can it be done in the game?
It's so complex it's almost intimidating. I did my first league, did my first draft and then just simmed the season and lost in the NFC Championship. Then I realized I'll learn more and dink more with the settings and most likely will never get back to that point. :)
Thanks for any suggestions you guys have!

There might be an easier way to do this.
Dump all the players on your roster, except for the two players that you want to re-name (I'd make sure they're rookies). Run the easter egg code to maximize the values of the players on your roster, then go and sign free agents to fill out the rest of the team again.
This would actually make kind of an interesting quasi-empty cupboard challenge...

You can change the names on the player card. Just click on the player you want to change, and you should see a button in the top part of his player card.

Shorty is on it. Welcome aboard, and hope to see more of you.
I initially found FOF pretty intimidating, but you have happened across a great source of information. There are lots of folks here that have really good information to share with you. They will also argue with you about anything that can be argued.
Have fun.

I don't know if you checked it out or not but the reference thread is a great place to check out for strategies, modifications and other helpful tips.
