As many of you are probably familiar, I've been training keepers for a while. I had planned on selling Clyde Miller when he popped titanic a few weeks ago. The market had 5 up in Sverige, and one other in the U.S. They went for below market, and I wasn't willing to part with the lynch pin of my training for the past 3 seasons, for below market value.

So Miller is now Titanic+2, and will be turning 22 with the age update. I'm thinking he'll pop E.T. in week 4 at the earliest, 6 at the latest.

I recently started getting feelers from a team interested in him. Now, this happened before, where a team promised to buy, and flaked out. He wouldn't even acknowledge my e-mail. This guy though, he's a II team, and I'm more inclined to think he's legitimate.

Here's his note to me:

"Would you consider training him up to mythical or even magical? i'll pay you 11 mil if hes trained to mythical, 12mil for magical. If this sounds good to you , let me know :D"

Mythical would mean devoting until the end of next season to yet more keeper training. He wouldn't pop until week 10 to week 13. The whole season, I'd be paying his boosted salary which will be costly when added with my other Titanic+ keeper who would be trained as well.

While the salary will be an issue, it's not a huge one. The larger issue is the possibility of this guy backing out. Even that isn't the largest. I'm tired of keeper training, and the marginal value on these guys isn't that great for a V team. If I sold him at E.T., I'd be able to completely revamp my training program in whatever manner I wanted, and then some. I'm actually expecting this sale to make me a mid-level IV team more or less instantly.

So, I'm commited to takng him to E.T. then selling. At that point next season, I should have close to $2M saved up, so I can switch training programs regardless, just not in as big a way as a $10M keeper transfer would let me.

Here is his further correspondence:

"well, the problem i have is that i can only *afford a titanic keeper right now and since clyde is titanic+, i expect you want a lil more money for him so that's why i offered you that deal for u to train him to a higher lvl because by then i would have sold a magical Middie to be able to buy a high skilled keeper in my previous mail. It sounds like you are really eager to switch training programs so do what u have to do but if u trained keeper for one more season, it would be more beneficial to your club since there is high demand for high lvl keepers nowadays. Imagine the income you would have if you sold those keepers of yours at mythical-magical range than you would at titanic. You will suffer only one more season since you wont be able to really upgrade as much as you would like without selling ur keepers but it would be worth it in the long run when you'll be sinking in loads of $$ from training ur keepers a couple more lvls and be able to buy what ever you want at any positi"

I'm just looking for thoughts here I guess.

"it would be more beneficial to your club since there is high demand for high lvl keepers nowadays"

Is this true? It seems wierd that the market was semi dead for a titanic keeper while a mythical/magical guy could get full market value.

Either way I would just list him at ET to see if he sells, if not you might as well continue training to mythical. At that point Id just hope that team comes through and buys him. I dont see how you have much choice when training a player to that high of a skill level. I just cant imagine there are going to be that many teams with $11 million laying around.

One thought it keep training it but send a feeler attempt out on the market at every level for a good market price, the wages of 2 high-level keepers is a price higher then anyone willingly pays.

Unless you got the offer from an American I wouldn't neccessarily count on him waiting for you. Since outside of a home country any player of the same level are all the same.
