300K plus prize pool.. first place pays about 70K.

Despite 15 minute rounds, they give you plenty of chips to start: $2,500

Aces get me another 500. Was hoping to induce a call when the flop came KJx/

when you say "can I do it again", does this mean you have won the big pot before?

SirFozzie

Ok. Slow play question here:

BB: Aces, two callers, trying a slow play.

Flop comes KJx. First to act bets 100, and gets a call.

Is a 500 raise too much?

Wow. Pocket K's split with Pocket A's when the board is all spades. Glad I wasn't in on that hand

Assuming that's about the size of the pot then I certainly don't think its too much. in a no limit tourney I really don't want 2 people coming along with me trying to draw out on my aces.

Moved to Table 45.

Agreed. You want them to fold. Bet the minimum amount that you think will make them fold :)

I was just noting what an ingenious feature it is that Stars has added. When a player is ALL-IN, there is no chat allowed. To me, this kind of thing is what makes Poker Stars the best place to play tournaments on the internet.

Finished 22nd before, there's a thread somewhere around here on it. Search for "skaredkrow" ;)

Earned me about $1100

To be honest, though, that's going to happen once in a while.

You got your money in a HUGE pot (compared to your stack), and you were dominating the hand.

SirFozzie
06-13-2004, 04:29 PM
*shakes head* That's the kind of hand you need to win.

Fucking River Queen.

KJ (me) vs QJ vs 910

J high board on the turn. Queen flops on the river, making a straight for the 9-10.
