It didn't flop, but it didn't live up to it's hype.

I never bought the first game because of all the bugs and problems scared me away. But I would definitely consider TPF2.

TPF has had a few growing pains but most people seem to like the latest version. From an overall standpoint, people like the GM aspects like FA and the draft, but the variety in the Play By Play, gameplan/package process and parts of the interface seem to be the main complaints. I'm finishing up a 1.41 update that was originally done based on some ease of use multiplayer requests, but I also made some pretty big changes in the player development and trade AI. Before (even in 1.40), high draft picks often became very good players and player development was a little too predictable. In this next update, draft picks have a lower starting point overall and there's much more variability in how they develop. You will also see more mid-round surprises (there were already a fair number of 6th and 7th rounders that panned out) and certain players will even get slightly better (or worse) in their 3rd, 4th and 5th seasons that maybe looked like average guys after a few seasons.
If you guys already tried the demo on your PC, I am working on a "Second Chance" demo once the patch is complete to give everyone another chance to check it out.

Anxiety, have your commish check with me. 1.41 fixes most of the multiplayer issues and I can let him check it out to make sure it's OK from his end.

I'll be happy with TPF2 as long as you have multiple stages for coach hiring, and you can actually hire a head coach rather than having to play both head coach and gm.

He has Arles - it's Mike and I'm with NFLSim. I meant issues like how to do draft, poor wavier system, that sort of thing. Not bugs, just in the design itself.

OK, fair enough. I will be taking a lot of league feedback into account for the next version. I have let most commish's know this and encourage them to send me an email with things that bothered them for next version.
