Me loves the new salary rules. I'll post more a little later, but for now I already know the net effect, as I saw my team salary drop from 104 096 C$ to 88 456 C$, a drop of 15 640 C$ or 7 820 U$ :)

Up from around 265k to 310k, which is more managable than expected, considering numerous late-season buys that were likely trained most of last season. Magical keeper is somehow under 40k/week (maybe decrease in keeper importance led to HT making decrease in wages?). Only 1 player over 50k, and that guy's a nat. team starter, so I'll get relief there too.

Especially manageable considering 2 seriesmates each have a single player over 200k ALONE. The 310k would've been 8th or 9th in II at end of last season and would be middle of the pack right now I'm guessing. Hopefully my RESULTS won't be :)

50 to 61K, but my two top trainees picked up 15K alone, so it could have been much worse. Once I sell off the # 1 midway through the season, I'll be close(r) to last season's wages again.

Some of the new salary rules are ridiculous. For one keepers are ridiculously cheap now. Jude Sutherland only gets payed $73k! My mythical mid gets payed more than that. It's absolutely 100% ridiculous that you can own a keeper several levels above divine for a fraction of the cost of a divine anything else.

Second, they it's almost like the removed the salary for extra skills completely. That fact that Nathan Longoria only gets payed $40k is insane. It's one thing to want to reduce wages for secondaries, but you should still have to pay something for them.

Yeah, no kidding. The most noticeable drop I had was Mick Starks who has 3 passables and 1 solid in primary skills along with excellent stamina and solid set pieces. His salary went from over $3K to $800.

SIMitchell Bautista went from $10k to aroudn $1k. I know he's getting old, but that's still a huge drop.

Mats is equal if not better in every aspect and his wage is $7 less INCLUDING the 20%??? Something can't be right there.

Mats value is effected by his stamina skill which has less impact on his salary in 6.6.2 since he is not a midfielder.

I went from 36,462 to 42,440. It would have been a larger climb, but I sold a few players. The entire system is so flawed. It also works out for me that I don't care about trainee stamina untill I sell them (I train PM) because that cut my wages down a lot, I would think. Two trainees of mine who went up twice each in PM, are cheaper now with their passable/inadequate inadequate/passable secondaries. Insane. Wingbacks (starting) lost about 900 each on my team since they have winger and defence skills.

I DID gain value on both of my goalies who have got no training whatsoever.

Starting IM's all gained wage increases. I think its noticably cheaper for those with secondaries actually. (6442 total)

Over all: The two outstanding strikers I bought and the outstanding defender I bought increased in wages (due to the fact they got training this season vs. the last)

And in addition; Starting IM's and Starting&Back-up Keeper increased in value. All others lost.

Reading the conferences, it would appear I am screwed. Pure winger trainers are getting hammered by the new wages. Collier's not so bad this year, but next year and particularly at age 21 he's gonna have wages on a level I can't even comprehend. And selling him won't be much of an option; it's gonna be too well know how overpaid high level wings are.

It boggles my mind that the devs would encourage wingers training as they did when they cut the dev time, then absolutely kill it like they have here. I'm gonna train Collier for the two seasons, because I want to help the U-20 squad, but then I'm out of the winger business unless something changes with the wages. Guess it's forwards for us.

I went from 25k to 27.4 and that's with my keeper trainees quadrupling and tripling. At 14k for the two of them, that's more than half my wages in the two trainees.

I have got to think that this is an unintended consequence, considering that just about every other high-level player type seems to be seeing a decrease in wages. Either they really screwed something up (so that it's cheaper to get a guy with good secondaries, which makes no sense) or they're highly-skilled players especially hard to make up for the reduced penalty to secondaries, and this is only being seen with wingers.

Wages for my three keepers, up about $12k. (Including my disaster backup passable goalie who went from $1,840 to $2,247, despite not having played a single game last season).
