Verrrry interesting. Could ESPN6 be far behind? :) (http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/page2/simmons/index?nocacher)

I've noticed his bio no longer mentions the Jimmy Kimmell show. Is he back to Page 2 full time?

yup. a few weeks ago.. He was kinda half assing it doing both (mostly only for the ESPN magazine columns), but realized that this was his niche

He was smart to go with the caraciture rather than his normal picture.

More likely ESPN Insider.

Inside Joke with Bill Simmons. Read his archive, he always mentions running ESPN 6 when it comes out. His columns are funny as ape poopy. Sports theories (aka Ewing), Vegas Stories, Gambling Stories, and how he relates them all to TV and movies where possible. I use to read them online when he was with the Boston Globe before he was with ESPN.

Yeah, a buddy of mine from Boston sent me a link to one of his columns back when he was with the Globe. Been reading his stuff ever since.

So we're the fucking elitists.

Sports Guy rules, this new page will be wicked. My only complaint isn't his fault, it's the new layout of Page 2. I can hardly tell what's an article and what's not, nothing is dated, there is absolutely no order of any kind to anything... just terrible.

The new page has a link to an old article (2002?) Idiots guide to the draft. I thought this one was interesting where he was knocking the "tweener" guys in the draft:

"Where is an NBA team going to play a walking beanpole like Tayshaun Prince?
(2002 Example: Kentucky forward Tayshaun Prince ... 6-foot-9, 113 pounds. I can't even begin to imagine where an NBA contender would play him.)"

Dote.

His response is - "As always, I'm an idiot." In fact, he might have referred to his commentary about Prince in a recent column.

I probably won't watch more than a few minutes of the NBA draft, but I assume he'll have his running diary up by tomorrow at noon, and I'll be looking forward to that. You know a guy can write when he makes you want to read about subjects you otherwise don't care about.

I would prefer to see him and Hunter Thompson running Page 2 and everyone else on Page 3, which would then be exiled to E! where it belongs.
