Calis, will you support Barcelona if Henrik signs for them? I know I'll get a Barca shirt with "Larsson" to go with my Celtic no. 7...

I can't believe how poor Holland have been in the penalty area.. can't they score? Who's that Nistle-guy? Someone tied his boots on too hard? :D

Well I'll be cheering for them to do well, but Celtic will still be my team.

Wish Larsson the best of luck wherever he goes though, no hard feelings. He did more than his fair share for them.

I've never really supported a La Liga team though, that might take some work. ;)

Yes!

For Sweden, I hope they can get rid of the penalty kicks syndrome s soon as Germany 2006 (against Brazil or Morocco or Korea, not the Netherlands of course.)

Starting to think of it, I've been wearing yellow t-shirts all day, I might have jinxed our opponents...

So when is Holland actually going to use Kluivert on the team?

Robben and Kallstram will finish their respective careers as two great attacking midfielders

Van Der Sar made a nasty save in penalities.

Advocaat has no clue as coach. If someone decent was in charge of Holland they would be unstoppable. His tactics against Sweden (as they have been in every game) were incredibly suspect.

Makaay needs to start - and not come on in a wide right role.
Kluivert needs a shot off the bench to make an impact.
Davids is past it
De Boer has no clue and hopefully will not recover from his injury (should have been sent off for that anyway)
Van de Meydre is the worst player on the squad but somehow starts
Overmars should start or Schneider should before Van de Meydre
Van de Vaart should start too...

Did anyone know why Seedorf didn't take a PK either?

Seedorf did miss a penalty or two before, didn't he?

My friend who was watching the game with me said he thought he heard the announcers say he didn't want to take a shot...

On Seedorf:
He missed twice in Oranje, with the second one destroying his reputation for about five years. The public would find someone to get Seedorf killed or injured for life if he had taken a penalty kick and had missed. (See it as a joke, but I fear that would really happen...)

On Kluivert:
Advocaat has chosen to play with 1 striker, meaning Van Nistelrooij starts, Makaaij is the #1 backup, Van Hooijdonk the #2 backup and Kluivert the #2 starter. Kluivert claims he is a terrible substitute (Anyone remember the 1996 UEFA CL final to prove Kluivert is wrong?)

On Frank de Boer:
He's done for the tournament.

On Van der Meyde:
He's by far the worst starter and has about 0 efficiency, yet Advocaat is smart enough to see that Overmars is over the top and best used as a substitute for the last 30 minutes to make a left/right back defender crazy.

On Davids:
Sorry Kosta, I disagree. Davids changed his game a bit, but is not over the top yet. Together with Seedorf, he forms a nice tandem that is finally back to the Dutch midfield.

On the 2 strikers - 1 left winger system that we saw the last 35 minutes against Sweden:
Whoever came up with that is a genius. I can't remember, but I bet Advocaat does remember who he heard it say on tv, Advocaat is said to see every analysis program, I think to improve his strategy guide. However, the idea was to have 3 midfielders behind them, not 1 midfielder and 6 defenders...

Davids was rejuvenated by his move to Barcelona, where he's been outstanding...
