SO yesterday my dad lost his job. This is especially bad because I work for him, for a company. Now Im reporting to the guy who fired/let go/used to employ my dad. He reassured me that nothing would effect me but Im nervous as hell. Regardless Im keeping my mouth shut (which is hard for me to do) and staying out of the way.

Yesterday as well, a friend of mine, who is engaged, reached out to us his friends to help him break off the engagement. This is absolutely the best decisioon he's ever made. She was an awful women and IMO only after his money. He just was so blinded he didnt see that she was pulling him away from his family who he is extremely close to, pulling him away from his friends that he was extremely close to, and basically depressed cuz she moved here. She didnt like here compared to where she came from. Through a movie like turn of events I was able to talk to her best friend bck at the "there" and the best friend spilled the beans. That the fiancee had an agenda, was going to get him to move, to support her and her endeavors, etc. etc. It honestly, was the stuff movies are made of. When we told him all of this, and his parents finally let him know their feelings (they'd been supportive this whole time) and he came clean that he felt he was stuck in the worst decision he'd ever made.....he had had it and broke it off. she leaves for home today.

NOW THAT is a dramatic day.

Ha! I played FOF, ate a couple of pizzas/drank a few beers, watched a movie, and then took a nap.

I'm smoking inside my office, since I'm the only person here all day?

I'm about the 3-peat in FOF2004 solo play. I moved the Redskins to San Antonio.

It was a real exciting day for me.... it'd been almost 20 years since my last title, and I'd suffered a Red Sox-like number of playoff meltdowns for 7 conscutive seasons.

I think your day was probably more dramatic.

I had to work this afternoon, and I think I might take a nap here shortly. My new kitten kept me up much of the night with his rambunctiousness and I'm kinda tired...

I remember the days when my new kitten jumped up and down in the bed and kept me up at night. Enjoy his/her friskiness while it lasts :)

I think my cat tried to kill me one night. I woke up and saw her claws extended just two inches from my eyes. Apparently she was "stretching" but I knew better.

I don't even need to Fritz this to make it funny/perverted.

My team is always good enough to make it to the divisional round, and sometimes the conference championship. Although it is a dynasty I just started (just recently had a hard drive fry), my team is showing strong signs of being the Chiefs of the "EFL". Always impressive in the regular season, chokeville in the playoffs.

Your kitty kept you up??? ROFL, do you have any kids? I have a 9 week old and he wakes up every once in a while in the middle of the night. Thank goodness my husband stays home with the kids otherwise I'd be a gonner here. :p

I certainly enjoy it during the day, but at 4am when I'm woken up by (a) a kitten attacking my toes, (b) a kitten sticking his face in my face and purring as loud as humanly (?catly?) possible, (c) a kitten knocking stuff off of my computer desk, (d) a kitten chasing around a ball with a bell in it, or (e) all of the above, it's kind of difficult to be happy about it...

But he's so cute that I can't stay mad at him for very long... :)

So it's a bad thing that my girfriend (of nearly six years) and I talk about having kids in the future?

I finished 85th out of 4,000 in last night's PokerStars freeroll, then finished 29th out of about 700 in today's 1pm PacPoker multi-table.

Oh, I also coached a youth basketball camp today. I guess my day doesn't compare, but on the poker front...I had some dramatic hands.

My drama.. I just discovered the cold water faucet for the washer in the new cottage doesn't work. Hence, the washer doesn't work unless we want to wash our clothes in all hot water :(

I wonder how long it will take the state to fix this problem.
