So, after having my training program come to fruition, comebind with the normal end-of-season money collection, I find myself with $4 million in my coffers, just waiting to be spent. Of course, I have no idea where to begin, so I thought I could get a little help from the FOFC.

I'm entering into my fourth season in IV.22. Each of the last three seasons has seen me finish 5th or 6th and winning a qualifier to stay up.

Here's my ratings from my last league game:

<table border="0" cellpadding="2" cellspacing="0"> <tbody><tr> <td valign="top">Team Attitude:</td> <td valign="top">Normal</td> </tr> <tr> <td valign="top">Tactic:</td> <td valign="top">Normal</td> </tr> <tr> <td valign="top">Tactic skill:</td> <td valign="top">(Unlimited)</td> </tr> <tr><td colspan="2"> </td></tr> <tr> <td valign="top">Midfield:</td> <td valign="top">weak (very high)</td> </tr> <tr> <td valign="top">Right Side Defence:</td> <td valign="top">weak (low)</td> </tr> <tr> <td valign="top">Central Defence:</td> <td valign="top">weak (high)</td> </tr> <tr> <td valign="top">Left Side Defence:</td> <td valign="top">weak (very high)</td> </tr> <tr> <td valign="top">Right Side Attack:</td> <td valign="top">weak (very high)</td> </tr> <tr> <td valign="top">Central Attack:</td> <td valign="top">weak (very low)</td> </tr> <tr> <td valign="top">Left Side Attack:</td> <td valign="top">weak (low)</td></tr></tbody> </table>
And a brief overview of where I could spend my money:

Coach: Had the same coach for over a year now. Passable coach with brilliant experience. Nobody on my team has more than Passable experience, so I don't think I want to train any of them to become a coach yet.

Arena: Seats 32,500. 1,694 Supporters as well. Probably a bit small, but I haven't exactly been giving the fans much of anything to root for lately.

Trainees: Just restocked the cupboard. I train playmaking, and have five 17-year-olds ready to begin the program.

Keeper: My starting keeper is Excellent. Don't know if that's enough anymore.

Defence: I run the standard 3-5-2, and have three solids on my back line. I feel I could use some help here.

Midfield: Like I said, I train playmaking. Two Brilliants and an Outstanding start in the center. No help needed here, I think.

Wingers: I have a 33 year old passable winger / solid playmaking on one side, and a much younger solid winger / excellent playmaking on the other. I probably need to upgrade here as well.

Forwards: My latest major purchase, made halfway through last season, was an outstanding scorer. I usually trade off the second slot between an excellent scorer with weak passing and a solid scorer with passable passing, depending on form.

So, I see a bunch of places where I might want to upgrade, but I can't decide which is more important. So, any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

1) I'd upgrade to a Solid/Poor "Neither attacking nor defending" coach, recruiting externally. Should cost around $300k, IIRC.
2) Expand stadium to 50k - will cost under $500k.
3) This leaves you with $3mil - to be honest, it looks like the only place you really need help is defensively. I'd purchase an Outstanding keper. That will set you back around $2.5MM.
4) Now, with $750k or so left, I'd buy a nice, young-ish winger - maybe Excellent winger/Solid PM.

Just my thoughts, though...

Solid coach. Immediately. I'd recomend getting a solid trainer with poor leadership, and using a few hundred thousand to buy a player with passable experience and solid leadership (maybe a solid/excellent defender?)

I'd probably also think about getting a formidable/outstanding forward with not much passing as well. Or an outstanding keeper. Or replace the 33 year old winger with a half-speed trainee. All depends on what you have to compete with in your league I guess. Although you're definitely in an enviable position. :D

forget that

go with a solid/solid coach, it'll only set you back 2 million or so :)

well here's my 2 cents....if you're maxing out the stadium, then expand it. get a better coach along with a younger winger and a defender or two(whatever you can afford), as far as a keeper, not really sure about that.

Considering you have not scored a goal in your last 4 competition games might tell you something. Spend a little bling bling on the offense.
